We stayed there 28 days, having been there 5 years ago. Nothing had changed! The ApartHotel was built around 20 years ago, originally as an Owners Apartment resort but was only ever used as an ApartHotel. The rooms are very spacious but look like they've never been refurbished except for the 2 ring electric hotplates. Quite run down, but acceptable considering how much youl'll be paying compared to other places. For instance, our bath had worn enamel and a rubbish shower! You get what you pay for, comes to mind! No oven- be warned. The housekeeping manager is the most wonderful lady. Some beds are comfortable, others are terrible! The lagoon pool is beautiful, clean and well maintained and slopes from a few centimetres to about 1.4 mt. This is perfect for young kids, as is it's kiddies pool. The play area is safe and in good condition.Suitable for wheelchair users, even the indoor pool is accessable by a lift. Facilities there are not impressive, but acceptable. The restaurant provides good quality food, but has a limited menu. If it isn't busy, breakfast is Continental, otherwise hot choices available. The in house shop meets basic needs but a 15 minute walk takes you to a good supermarket, car/moke hire and pharmacy. However, there is a shortcut via beachcliff walk which greatly reduces the trip. Ask reception, they speak English well. A hire car is recommended, but busses run nearby and are frequent and run quite late. there are many good restaurants on the strip in Coral Bay, and food can be delivered by some venues. We enjoyed our long stay holiday; very helpful and friendly staff.

Starting with the positive, and the only reason for any stars, is the pool area! This is cleaned regularly and maintained very well - it’s cold but I was able to swim every day during my holiday. The negatives, to which most reviews state are the conditions of the rooms! Ours was very dated and needed more than just a lick of paint! The kitchen area, and I say that loosely, so let’s were hanging out if the wall and every time plugging in the kettle thought any minute now the electrics are going to go bang! We were room only so can’t comment on food, cleaners were daily and friendly I’d love to go back to Coral Bay but definitely won’t be staying here! Shame as it has so much potential just needs some investment

We have just returned from a weeks stay at Panaretti and I will be honest, when we first arrived I was horrified by our room it was so dated and wasn’t the most clean. The hotel is very tired and run down. The next morning I asked for a room change and we was upgraded to a one bedroom which was much better, still very tired but the receptionist was very helpful and the cleaners are very friendly. The pool and restaurant were very good. Sun-loungers do need updating as they are uncomfortable but they do the job!
We used the bus service a lot it costs €1.50 single into coral bay and the same into Pafos, the bus stop is about a 10 minute walk away (we walked out the back of the hotel - much quicker) you can also purchase a day pass for €5 which we did when we went to the waterpark. This was very handy but you can walk to a supermarket which is about a 20 minute walk I wouldn’t use the mini market at the hotel as there isn’t much in there!
The beach is a 5 minute walk again walk out the back of the hotel, the beach is amazing and so picturesque we also found a lovely restaurant on route.
Some of the reviews on here are a little bit brutal, I wouldn’t say the hotel is a 4 star anymore but we enjoyed ourselves and had a lovely holiday. We would come back here but would suggest the hotel having a bit of a revamp I can imagine in its prime this hotel was amazing!

We arrived at 2am after having travelled for 14hrs. Had to wait 10mins in reception for anybody to appear, only to to hanged our keys and given vague directions to where our room was. Breakfast was of limited choice and poor quality. In our room, one light was constantly flickering, and had a several electric shocks off the bathroom light switch. No mattress protector on bed, so a think grey sheet separating us from the body fluids and dead skin cells of the hundreds of people before us that had slept there. All bedding, towels etc an off grey that might of been white at some point. Pillows had been washed so many times that the stuffing had broken off into hard lumps, and stained with God knows what. Walls with loose plaster, and grime in sinks and baths. Dirt at floor level around skirting (probably been mopped with dirty water) . Please do your research before booking here!

I am never the type of person to leave a review, I don’t like it unless it is completely necessary and I wouldn’t want other people to go through the same, so I have to comment on this , Honestly chose here unless you get a car, wish we chose a better location, it probably says great beaches near the hotel , but beaches weren’t nearby (thank god we had a car) and the beaches weren’t great, and the walk to nearest town or restaurant let’s just say I felt so bad for the people walking (thank god for having a car lol) . Hotel was empty and quiet probably the time of year, when we showed up the main entrance was closed and blocked off, no instructions were to go we just had to look around and find an open door and desk, the receptionist was okay , and for our room it was okay however we booked a double room and we are a couple I was disappointed that it was just two single beds pushed together so our beds kept separating if we were in the middle of it …I don’t understand why most hotels do this it’s not good, expected more for a 4 star hotel , the shower was awful it just dripped down like a leaky tap and ran out of the shower down the wall you had to get right against the wall to shower or take the shower head off and wash yourself, also the hottest the shower goes isn’t even that hot, nevermind the dirty shower curtain it looked like it had blood or poo on it, that was honestly disgusting, the indoor “heated” pool downstairs wasn’t heated it was freezing cold so we never got into it ,the jacuzzi was nice and warm bubbles were nice, but to be honest the water looked dirty. the breakfast I had on last day and very upsetting, it was basically cold also That’s your breakfast?? 2 sausages they were tiny, I’ve had much better in 4star hotels? very disappointing breakfast. I’ve had many 4 star hotels that were better than this….. Paid nearly 500 euro or more to stay here….so I expected more better service, pay extra to stay inner city this hotel was horrible….overall very disappointed with this hotel…

I'll start by saying this was a cheap package holiday so we obviously weren't expecting anything amazing! Our main disappointment was the cleanliness. We arrived to bed sheets and towels covered in yellow stains. They were supposed to be changed on the 4th day of our stay but never were. The cleaners came every day but at unpredictable hours and all they seemed to do was remake the bed and empty the bin. We opted for a self catering room but were not provided with any sort of cleaning products which meant we spent the week with sandy floors and mucky countertops. Every noise in the hotel echoes, we could hear when next door were having a shower and customers and cleaners would shout at stupid hours. The pool is impressive although there didn't seem to be much maintenance. A lot of the sun loungers and parasols are in need of replacing and there seemed to be a pretty bad ant problem. The 'health spa' seemed to be abandoned, the indoor pool had a lot of missing and loose floor tiles. Considering we barely saw anyone in there, the floor was filthy and the toilets/locker room looked and smelt like they hadn't been cleaned in months!! We barely saw any staff during our stay and when we did you couldn't tell if they were staff as they were dressed so casual. We only had a few interactions with them and they were unfriendly and unprofessional, often too busy on their phones to notice us! We were also looking forward to playing ping pong but there was only one paddle and a dented ball.
The area was nice, close to the beach where you can walk along the coast for an hour either way, there's also a water sports business. Theres a great supermarket about 40 minute walk away. Unless you plan on renting a car I wouldn't suggest this location. Theres really not a lot going on besides the coastal scenery. Theres no night life unless you're willing to walk along the road for half an hour in the dark to the high street. The hotel is dead at night too, no one at the restaurant or bar so we stayed in the room every night.
I can imagine it was an impressive place in it's day and definitely has a lot of potential if they were to put the effort in!

Unfortunately this place was not good at all.. i was working over here in Cyprus for a few weeks and for my final 4 nights i needed somewhere cheap to stay so i found the poanareti and i suppose its true.. you get what you pay for.
i initially paid for had booked but i got a refund on that as the food looked mildly average with no selection what so ever so i opted to eat out instead. (still awaiting that refund to clear currently)
anyway getting down the rooms this is where it all drops. on our first given rooms i took 1 look and was just shocked. dark and dingy rooms! a bed which the height comes up my shins if that.. (basically a mattress on the floor i would class it as( the mattress is just ridiculous! at least 25 years old if not more. springs sticking out and digging into your back, squeaks overtime you move. i asked to move rooms which they showed me a few but they where all the same. if you have every stayed here you would know what i mean!
after agreeing on a room even though their was no change with the bed i just had to go with it. your laying in dusty and infested blood stained sheets which will irritate your skin during your stay.. this really is the most uncomfortable i have been with any hotel stay and with someone who suffers with back problems this is really not good!
going on with the dark and dingy rooms your basically showering in the dark too! with a bathroom light with as much light as a match stick the moment you close their dirty and ripped shower curtain you are in pitch black and you will dry yourself with sandpaper like towels with rips in.. and again this was the same with every rooms i viewed on my request to change rooms so it wasn't as if i had the bad luck of rooms.
honestly if your looking at staying here i recommend you pay the extra 20 euro a night and actually find a hotel with clean rooms and that you will be comfortable in.

this hotel is far from 4 stars on arrival we were abit gobsmacked with huge disapointment and was very tempted to call up our booking company and try move elsewhere but we gave it a chance. arrived to nice staff at the reception, our room was small had a ripped curtain. light switch damaged. air con issue had i fell ill with blocked nose and sore throat because air con may not of been maintained? but was sorted in the end after the guy came out fixed it and cleaned the filter i then felt abit better. we were very devasated that the outdoor pool was empty and taped off with no warnings on arrival at all. they were re-tileing and fixing it we used the indoor pool, the jaccuzi had hurt our eyes and gave us headaches and stinged our skin as the chlorine was powerful. drain floor indoor pool had come up my husband hurt hes foot we had a look at the suana, it was turnt off all doors mouldy and changing rooms looks really outdated and fallen apart, mini markets was half empty having to walk 15 minutes to a local shop to get emergency bits was a joke. bed was comfty had to ask for an extra pillow, floor consantly flooded from the shower, had a cctv facing my balcony from a villa oppersite me which was abit disturbing. but took no noticed of it all during my stay as we kept the curtains closed. kitchen had utensil and plates cups ect. room was cleaned everyday beds made, they really need to repair this place to bring all the customers in. outdoors is lovely but why cant they make this place so nice? its such a shame. the staff are nice even the ones in the evening/night. lovely friendly cats around too no issue. it just such a shame!! we would come back if this hotel gets an entire refurbrishment and hope it really does!

We stayed here over the new year and can say before we arrived we were apprehensive due to the previous reviews of the place.
The hotel was basic but clean and served us well for the week.
We ate in the hotel twice during the day, the lunch/snacks menu is extensive and well priced. The dinner menu offers 3 different types of main courses each night, a variety of starters and deserts and although we didn’t eat here at night, the food did smell great and what we did have was lovely.
The mini market at the entrance of the shop is open late, although there wasn’t much to choose from, I would imagine it’s because of the time of year and Cyprus isn’t in season so there wasn’t much foot traffic or guests. However whenever we needed a late night snack or some juice we could get that no problem.
The indoor pool and Jacuzzi was perfectly relaxing and clean, the best part of the hotel. The outdoor pool had been drained on our first few days there, again probably because Cyprus isn’t in season and for those who live in Cyprus it wouldn’t have been warm enough, however for us visiting from Scotland it would have been fine.
All in all, the hotel was nice, the staff friendly and helpful, it was everything we needed for the price we paid. This hotel has loads of potential and if it was properly cared for or redecorated from time to time they could definitely charge more. It just needs a little TLC.
