Just returned from a 10 night holiday with my family and had a great time. We had 2 studio's and 1 apartment between us which were all very spacious and clean, we asked for travel cots and they were waiting for us, there were plenty of toiletries and bottled water in the fridge, also a kettle, tea and coffee in rooms, oh and a dressing gown and slippers. A very friendly porter took our cases to the rooms and he got us some sandwiches as we arrived late. There were plenty of sunbeds around each of the pools and we never had to get up early to reserve beds! We preferred to sit by the splash pool and we all enjoyed the lazy river and water slides, real bonus for both children and adults. Fantastic views out to sea, the beach is shingly and pebbles but there are a few cleared area's where you can get into the sea, beach shoes recommended, the sea is so clear and warm. We were all inclusive and found the food to be ok, there was always a variety of salads and hot food, always a carved joint on offer, plenty of vegetable options. I am gluten free and asked for GF bread which was provided, also offered GF cereal. Dimitras the manager was always welcoming and asking if all was ok, he always came over to talk to the children. The restaurant supervisor was also very friendly and helpful, in fact all the staff were particularly friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The drink selection was excellent, no skimping on measures either, great cocktails. We found the lifeguards very friendly and the towel man. There are a lot of steps around the complex but also ramps making it easier for pushchairs. It is about a 15 minute walk to the shops and restaurants, it is a bit of a steep hill outside the hotel but flat once you reach the shops. We also walked to Coral Beach which is about 30 mins, lovely beach, water sports on offer, would recommend a visit. We walked to Corrallia beach, a bit further on from Coral bay but we didn't like that so much, beach full of sunbeds! We got a bus to the bus station at the other end of Paphos and walked to the harbour which is really nice, well worth a visit, 2 euro's for a single trip. We took a boat ride which toured round and was informative, saw shipwreck, swam in the sea off of the boat. The weather was beautiful, pleasant breeze and warm in the evenings. One of the disappointments for us was the entertainment or lack or it!! No children's disco, played bingo once during the 10 nights, there was a singer on 2 nights and some Cypriot dancers but otherwise it was just background music.

I went to this resort with my daughter and her partner, and their three sons aged 11, 14 and 17. We had such a warm welcome even though we arrived late at night. The whole area was very clean, the rooms spacious, and the beds extremely comfortable, the bathrooms contained white fluffy towels which were changed as required, bathrobes and slippers were included, and each room had a patio. My grandsons thoroughly enjoyed the water park, especially the slides and the lazy river, and fluffy blue towels were provided free of charge. There were always plenty of sunbeds even though we went on holiday in half-term. The food was varied and plentiful, more provided when running low, with a good selection to suit every taste, youngsters were catered for too. The service in the restaurant was exceptional, very polite and friendly, and finished plates were removed very quickly. Thank you for making our holiday really wonderful, we have already made arrangements to return next year.

We went on a family vacation to Kapitanios resort for 5 nights (August 1st - 6th). We enjoyed our stay, especially our kids. The rooms are big, newly renovated, and clean but not satisfactory. The receptionists are nice and helpful, although we were checked in at 17:00 instead of 14:00 on our arrival day , but they compensatd us for the late check-in by sending a plate of fruit and a bottle of wine to our room. Tony, the porter, is the best hotelier that you can ever meet, we have been to a lot of resorts in Crete, Rhodes and Antalya in Turkey, but we have never met such a nice, kind, polite and helpful person (Chapeau to Tony). The food is medium to good quality at the main restaurant (dinning room) with limited options, you can always find something to eat, the dessert is poor and not worth trying. The pool snacks bar is of low quality, they used to serve burgers, hot dogs and chicken nuggets everyday between 1200 and 1600, nuggets win. One day I went at 1530 to get something to eat but they were closed (they told me sorry we ran out of food! Anyway it wasn't tasty). The alcohol and cocktails are of medium quality at the pool bar, not the fault of the bar tender, but due to the quality of local alcohol. The bar tenders are not always friendly and sometimes careless, except one guy at the upper bar near the lobby (sorry, I don't recall his name)! The pool bar area could be cleaner, unfortunately empty plastic cups everywhere. We have realized that they are understaffed! The kids' pool and the aqua park area are good and attractive, we spent a lot of time with our kids there. We also enjoyed the man-made river. The beach is rocky and not suitable for spending time. The entertainment team consists of one guy only who used to do day-time and evening activities. He is nice and cool, but not enough. Overall, we enjoyed our stay since we were three families all together, but there is a potential for being a better resort.

We had booked in for the weekend but left after one day/night. Upon arrival the staff were wonderful so welcoming and helpful we were really excited! The room was immaculate and comfortable no complaints there! We were on the all inclusive package and unfortunately very disappointed, the food was absolutely vile! It was a buffet style which is normally the case with all inclusive, there wasn't alot of choice and what was there was either dry , tasteless or soggy, again at breakfast disgusting took one mouthful and binned it. Safe to say we went elsewhere for lunch but not what I was wanting to do since I bought the all inclusive . Drinks hit and miss we ordered a couple cocktails which were amazing, ordered the exact same and they were completely different , the cocktails on the evening were undrinkable as there was that much alcohol in them , then this afternoon two mocktails absolutelydelicious fornthe kids ordered the same one and it was completely different theres just no consistency when making the drinks. Today I went back to my room to get something and the housekeeper had helped herself to my phone charger unplugged my daughters console and helped herself to it didn't even put it back on when she was finished , makes me wonder what else she had been touching? The lifeguards sit about on their phones drinking refreshments or smoking, not really paying attention to the swimmers, so just wouldn't rely on them to keep you safe. Our son struggled today and a manager actually walked past and raised the alarm to the lifeguards even questioned why they weren't doing the walk . It's quite sad really as the location is beautiful, the pool facilities are great it's just the food , drinks and lifeguards. Upon checkout I was asked how my stay was I told the man on reception , no offer to rectify it or refund just said well webate newly open come back next year and we will be better! Nothing about this makes me want to come back next Yr I've just wasted €684 well actually more because we had to dine out , we are not food snobs and usually can stomach stuff that's not great and we will just get on with it but this was a whole different level . I have attached the picture of last nights evening meal , we went to bed hungry last night. Poor kids are devastated about coming home luckily we luve in Cyprus but if we had flown from the UK I'm not sure how we would have coped. I sincerely hope management look at this review and contact me to rectify this .

The good: On the whole, our holiday at the hotel was excellent . The room was spacious , comfortable and kept very clean. You could hear a pin drop at night, with none of the usual furniture scraping at 2am or door banging , mainly due to the low level villa style rooms and the fact that everything stopped at 11. The pool area was great , we managed to get sunbeds every day, despite the usual hoggers putting their towels down early and then not sitting on them for hours. The pools were warm and clean, and the water park and lazy river was an added bonus. We loved the beach, which was very rugged and clearly the hotel didn’t want to promote use, as the area was not manicured and it was tricky to get in the water due to the rocks( bring your water shoes). This meant it was quiet and once you were in, the sea was beautiful and it was a lovely respite from the pool area. From this perspective, the hotel suited our needs as a family with a 9 yr old.
The not so good: The staff work extremely hard and seemingly long hours. However , the majority were disinterested in the guests. It felt like they had either been told not to speak to the guests or perhaps they are so used to rude guests they can’t be bothered anymore, which is a shame. They were constantly moaning about things to each other in front of guests and often it felt like you were being a pain when asking for basic things, like a drink at the bar. It was a shame because the manager was so friendly and kept a close eye on things. I think they need a bit of team building and customer relations training.
The ugly: the uses of single use plastic cups and disposal is absolutely shocking. This was happening almost exclusively at breakfast, lunch and dinner, and round the pool areas. I understand you can’t have glass round the pool areas ( which was the excuse given) but there are ways you can reduce use in the first place. I’m not sure any of it was recycled. The very small recycling bins around the hotel were always full to the brim and felt tokenistic. There were plastic cups left all over the beach and people were just being given clean ones all the time rather than encouraged to reuse. The paper cup alternative had big labels on the side saying they had plastic in and not to recycle them. staff refused to refill mine at the bar. I am aware this happens in other hotels but this needs sorting out. It’s appalling and shocking to see the volumes being used.
I did speak to the lovely lady who I think was one of the managers on the last day who said they had only just reopened after a refurb and the staff team were just finding their feet. She was very open to feedback about ways to improve so hopefully they will give constructive feedback some thought.

I agree with the points made in the last 3 reviews I’ve read about Kapetanios Aqua. Poor quality, repetitive food (we ate out 6/7 nights) and didn’t return for breakfast after trying it the first morning. Lack of choice, luke warm food and the juice out of the machines was almost undrinkable. Staff seemed overworked and unhappy and there weren’t enough people working behind the bars which caused huge queues. Bar drinks were actually decent but there was inconsistency with what you were allowed. The bar manager was rude to my mother about some rose wine she had ordered. The bar staff were instructed to make “rose” by mixing red and white wine from the taps. I’ve never seen that before! Our rooms were clean (some ants and the odd cockroach aside) and there were plenty of towels. The air con worked really well, almost too much sometimes but that was a relief from the sweltering heat. The pool areas were unkempt (quite a few umbrellas were broken and not enough sun beds for number of guests) and the pool water and tiles didn’t look clean. As other guests have written, the tiles are super slippy especially at the kids splash area. We wore anti slip swim shoes and still had to be very careful. We never saw any pool cleaning or water checking and the tiles looked quite discoloured and slimy. Not enough tyres for the lazy river or slides and the life guards were always on their phones. Honestly, they hardly ever looked up. I didn’t feel there was any concern for guest safety at all. The music around the bars was incredibly loud rap music with lots of swearing- not ideal! We went to 1 mini disco but it was quite sad- a recording of babyish rhymes etc and no one seemed to be in charge. I don’t think it was good value for all inclusive regarding the quality and availability of food/snacks and the mini market attached to hotel had eye watering prices. €6 for a packet of biscuits and €8 for a small plastic beach ball. We definitely won’t be returning and I think Jet2 should reconsider its 3*+ rating. Coral Bay itself is lovely and the fact we hired a car and spent most of our time away from the hotel saved the holiday.

This is a newly opened hotel and on paper it looks fantastic, but there’s a lot of learning to be had, around the pool area, no one bothers to moved Sunbeds back looking neat to start the day, half the time no tables are wiped clean, we were unfortunately there when the hotel was taken over by nearly 200 locals who basically ran riot, they were in the pool late at night and early morning with screaming kids, and there was no one managing these people, they put their towels out the night before and saved all the Sunbed around the pool. The rooms never got swept, our towels were only changed when I asked for new ones, the receptionist were great and tried their best to sort most problems, the door man Joe was fantastic, always happy to assist with anything and everything he’s definitely your go to guy for help. Food was hit and miss, it was always a clean and tidy area, but most of the time it was cold, even when it was just brought out. They need more staff, cleaning and around the pool area which should be the heart of the hotel.

The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Our flight was cancelled so Jet2 “kindly” put us up in this hotel for a night. The food was disgusting. I wasn’t going to write a review but the general managers behaviour and attitude was appalling so I feel it’s deserved. Our shower flooded the whole bathroom as it wouldn’t point into the bath, so just leaked everywhere. When we arrived there was only one person on check in so it took hours to check us all in. Yes 150 of us checked in late but they would have had warning so I don’t understand why they didn’t have more staff on the desk to speed up the process. The general manager needs to change his attitude as the way he was speaking to guests was vile. He deliberately kept the evening buffet closed until we were leaving as he didn’t want us to eat, even though we had all inclusive bands… he only opened as guests complained and made a big fuss of it. Jet2 reps didn’t care and said nothing even though people were complaining to them. I asked him why he isn’t opening it as people might want to grab some fruit of something to bring on the bus to the airport with them, and he grunted at me and walked off. Not very professional. Also I found it every strange that very young people were working late at night carrying our bags to our room. They had no uniform on and just looked like guests?! It was very odd. The positives The slides and pool were good. The view was nice overlooking the sea

This hotel has so much potential but is unfortunately let down by so many things. See below for member of staff becoming aggressive towards us. One thing to be aware of as well.. once you had your room keys in l, your all inclusive stops. So if you don’t book late check out and you have a late flight, they will expect you to pay for everything.
Good- Stunning views Good water parks Most staff are lovely
Bad- Rooms are filthy and even when you raise the issue it doesn’t get solved. Cockroaches everywhere, also get into the rooms as the doors are not fitted properly. Maids come into your room even when the do not disturb is on - also no lock on the door so if you have escapee children, this is not the place. Food is cold, lukewarm at best. We even got served raw burgers twice at the snack bar (when it was actually open). Kids water park, half of the things don’t work on it and the tiles are falling off. We had to ask for a bin bag our second day to clean up the pool area as it was disgusting. However they did prove on this by putting bins out, but we shouldn’t have to clean up while on holiday and didn’t improve on the grounds. Glass outside rooms for days, was still there two days after we told reception.
After we raised all these issues some of the staff become really funny with us. On our last day the bar/food manager got in my husbands face and squared up to him because we asked what his job role was. Not professional and it topped of our trip when the man then started taking pictures of us.
They blamed some stuff on teething issues, however this has affected our holiday and I could not wait to get home.
Would not recommend unless you like all the above issues. We thought it would be lovely as just been renovated.. the only thing that has is the restaurant and lobby which they told us.look at previous hotel name reviews on google at what it’s really like.

What an amazing hotel! We stayed as a group of 10 with 3 lovely modern rooms. The hotel helped arrange a birthday cake for my granddaughter and she was thrilled. Towels were changed whenever we needed and maids came daily. Tables cleared quickly from previous guests and a good selection of food on offer throughout all meal times. Staff were friendly and an amazing shout out to Yiama at the kids club for entertaining my granddaughter as we had to stay an extra 6 days due to her having a double ear infection and unable to fly home. Also to JD to keeping us all entertained throughout the day and evening and playing UNO with her. Lastly I am indebted to Estelle in guest relations for driving us to and from the pharmacy and beach going above and beyond helping us in every way she could. Fantastic pools, lazy river and slides to keep the kids (and me) entertained all day. I would definitely return to this hotel.
