We "retired" in Valle de Guadalupe in 2018 after designing and building a structure that would represent both of our backgrounds. Mexican Hacienda and Italian Farmhouse. The main house was perfect but the additional rooms around the courtyard (built for the visiting children) went unused for a while untill we had the repeated request of renting out rooms. Suddenly we had turned into a well rated Bed & Breakfast and guests never stopped coming. We offer a welcoming environment sorrounded with plush luxuries and spectacular views of Valleys and Mountains. The true reward for us are the numerous friends that we cultivated over the last years. They are priceless and visit often. A sign by our door states "Enter as Guests Leave as Friends". We live by day with every person that crosses the threshold. My friend and I were in Valle de Guadalupe for another friend’s birthday but Ruth and Henry could have fooled us! We felt so spoiled, it might as well have been our birthdays! From the moment we arrived, we were taken by the beauty that was all around us. From the home where we would be staying to the small vineyard, to all the sitting areas where you can take in the beauty of the grounds with the beautiful flowers and the hummingbirds that seemed so content to be hanging around there. So welcoming and peaceful.
The suite we stayed in was very nicely decorated, and felt so comfortable. It had a mini-fridge with drinks, wine, and a coffee station. The view of the sunset was amazing from the bedroom and front of the property.
Being a BnB, we expected a breakfast but were pleasantly surprised with the presentation and delicious authentic Mexican style breakfast (Thank you Claudia!) served with fresh fruit, coffee and infused water. Complimentary wine tasting of their own wine that they harvest from their small vineyard. Both Cesar and Claudia who work for the property are amazing.
One of my favorite parts of my stay was being able to chat for a bit with our hosts and hear the back story of how this came to be. Such a lovely couple. Even their 2 dogs Toffee and Carijo (not sure of the spelling) were cute & friendly.
We loved our stay and I would say they made us feel right at home but that would be a lie! I felt spoiled! Will definitely be back & recommend this place to anyone!

Ruth and Henry are the most kind and gracious hosts anyone could ask for. They treat you like family. Their property is gorgeous and perfect for a bed and breakfast. The meals each morning are authentic and filling, and both Ruth and Henry (and their sweet dogs) are always somewhere on the property to give recommendations and guidance, while ensuring you have utmost privacy. The rooms are beautiful and quaint, very vineyard cottage vibes. 5 stars for cleanliness, privacy, friendliness, communication, and overall experience. The area is on the southern end of the valle, but central and accessible. Dirt roads and tucked back against the hillside, so SUV recommended. We will be staying with Ruth and Henry again! Highly recommend for both first timers and experienced visitors to the valle.

I will start out with the adventure of getting to Vino Calabria. It is located far enough off the beaten path that everyday cares are shed with every turn of the dirt road to Henry & Ruth’s gem. My husband and I spent 3 nights at Vino Calabria and left feeling rejuvenated. The hosts are a wonderful combination of warmth, joy for life, and the exemplification of what great fruits can result from hard work. The grounds provide for garden views, fire pit fun, and vineyard views. We stayed in the Paloma room and enjoyed one of the best sunset views. The king bed was very comfortable and the room itself was nicely decorated. There’s a coffee maker so that a quiet moment can be enjoyed on the deck before enjoying a delicious breakfast. The care taken to provide a breakfast that was both tasty and well presented resulted in an experience that set the bar high for all other meals throughout the day. The hosts and their staff are genuine in their interest in providing a wonderful stay. They also shared so many great recommendations in Valle de Guadalupe and for our next stop in Ensenada. It was a memorable stay in celebration of our 34th wedding anniversary and my birthday complete with a delicious celebratory birthday cupcake! Thank you and many blessings to all at Vino Calabria.

My fiance and I spent a weekend at Vina Calabria and were beyond pleased with our stay. Ruth and Henry are outstanding hosts, very helpful since the beginning, available at all times whenever we had questions. We felt very safe and the view from vila was spectacular. We were greeted with wine from their vineyard. Their staff offered us homemade breakfast each morning, exquisite and authentic. Highlight: Couples massage, we left feeling so tranquil. You will need to book massages in advance with their masseuse, but it's a must!! They went beyond to make our weekend comfortable and memorable. We DEFINITELY look forward to coming again.

This beautiful bed and breakfast feels like such a hidden treasure. Every detail was so thoughtful. Breakfast was delicious. I really appreciated talking to the owner and the dogs (Toffee and Carajillo) were delightful. I honestly can't wait to go back. We were also really close to everything in the Valle -- our Honda Civic did just great on the dirt roads (if you're worried about that!)

We cannot say enough great things about our stay at Viña Calabria! It was so comfortable, clean, cozy, and romantic. Henry and Ruth were the best hosts we’ve ever stayed with. Before our trip, they helped us find a driver in the area who planned the whole trip for us and really made our vacation a truly relaxing, fun, and tailored experience. Henry and Ruth also helped us book massages with the best massage therapists we’ve ever had. The breakfast also delicious every day, the accommodations were beautiful, and Henry and Ruth truly went out of their way to give us an amazing experience.

My wife and I are just back from spending a few days at Vina Calabria. I partially don't want to say how wonderful our stay was because I'd like for it to be a secret! But it truly was a wonderful place. It is tucked away in the valley, a little away from a small farming village and not far from many, many vineyards and restaurants/food. The room was extremely clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the service was above expectations, the food (breakfast) was amazing, the views were serene. We were here on our 20th anniversary and we had a wonderful, romantic, peaceful couple of days. It was simply amazing and we can't wait to go back. We highly recommend.

Our 4 day weekend with Ruth and Henry at Vina Calabria was outstanding. We could not have picked a better place in all of Villa de Guadalupe to explore this spectacular valley. Ruth and Henry were warm wonderful hosts helping us pick wineries and restaurants. Their beautiful villa is placed on a hill looking out to the valley and is close to everything. Ruth and her staff take great pride in their breakfast offering and it is exquisite. Henry is well versed in the local viticulture and is an excellent wine maker himself. We will definitely be back.

I took my wife couple of weeks ago to Vina Calabria for our wedding anniversary, and it was the best wonderful experience we've had for a mini vacation, our host Ruth and Henry were the most wonderful host, the attention we got was amazing, they treated us like family, the amenities in our room and property were 5 star, specially for my wife, it made her so happy and special on our anniversary.
