My partner and I stayed at The Bateman Arms for one night as we had a friend's wedding nearby and we couldn't have wished for a better place to have stayed! Although the check in time was 12pm, we were due to be at the wedding venue for the same time but this was not an issue at all and...

After catering for "the masses" the previous day, we felt we owed ourselves a Sunday lunch cooked by someone else. After previous good experiences we had booked a table for lunch at The Bateman Arms. The standard has been maintained (I am very happy to report) although there have been changes - mostly for the better. When our starter arrived...

Once again we stayed at the Bateman Arms whilst visiting our family nearby and once again we experienced excellent service and friendliness from Tracy, Simon and the rest of the team. As always, our room was warm and comfortable - most welcome on a cold and frosty weekend, and the Bateman breakfast set us up for each day!

we stayed for four nights at the end of October, our room was comfortable , warm and clean. We ate each night in the pub and every meal was excellent, I would particularly recommend the duck with orange and the pie with butty bach ale should be attempted with a huge appetite !

Had a great stay at the Bateman Arms. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Even when there was a mix up with the rooms the staff sorted out the problem with no fuss whatsoever. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent . Will definitely return.

My son aged 11 and I made a special trip to the UK to visit my husband, who is staying at the Bateman Arms for work. We all stayed at The Bateman Arms for 7 nights in the family suite. Staying here for 7 nights was a major highlight of our 1 month holiday to the UK. The warm hospitality...

While we were visiting our daughter in Kent, we planned a weekend to Wales to see our son-in-law's sister. On other family's recommendations, we decided to stay at The Bateman Arms. Glad we did, we really enjoyed our stay. Room 5 was really large with three single beds. The room was well furnished and was very clean. The only complaint...
