Relaxed and quiet cabins in a bush setting. Its a bit of a drive from the main road but worth it. the welcome was genuine as was the advice about where to go and see platypus. The cabin was comfortable and had everything that was required.

Drove from Mackay to the River Rock Cafe for lunch based on a recommendation from friends. Were not disappointed. Staff friendly and knew heaps of local history. Lunch was excellent and the setting perfect. If your a Mackay local and have not been out for lunch do it!

Cabin was small/cramped and in need of a lot maintenance. Setting in rainforest was its saving grace. Completely acceptable that there was no mobile phone or internet reception but it would have been nice to know beforehand. The breakfast hamper the 2nd day was good. Hosts OK.

Such a great location in finch hatton gorge with about 6 cabins and a camping area. We had a family cabin with queen and 2 singles. Couple who run it were attentive and the food truly excellent - as the have the adjoining river rock cafe and deliver meals quickly to your room. Cabin slightly dated but beds comfortable and...

We arranged to stay at the cabins while diving with Rainforest Scuba in nearby rivers. The cabins have an exquisite setting in the rainforest with a river/stream running through the property. The cabins are comfortable and clean and quite adequate without being luxurious. The "River Rock Cafe" on the property provides lunches and other meals by arrangement. We arrived at...

Do not drive past this if you are on your way out to the gorge. Amazing place with great food. Lots of local knowledge from the staff as well. Great place for tourists and locals alike to gain knowledge of the area as well as flora and fauna in the many handouts provided.

My wife and daughter along with myself stopped in the dafe for lunch. Wonderful setting and very wellcoming staff. We were the only customers for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. My daughter had an ENORMOUS piece of carrot cake for dessert and my wife had a piece of delicious mango cheesecake. A very pleasant experience. Watch out for the...

Such a pretty little place set among the rainforest. Our cabin was right near the creek, and the constant flow of water was so relaxing. We had the whole place to ourselves, so it felt just like our very own little retreat. The cabin was tidy and had everything we needed. BBQ facility was handy. And the relaxed / friendly...
