We stayed here for 2 nights in the honeymoon hut that was right on the fresh water creek. We did not have high expectations on seeing the elusive duckbill platypus but oh how wonderful to wake up and see one right outside your hut ! This is a great place to get a real bush camp feel. You can also...

A little off the beaten track but definitely worth a visit. K Loved the swimming hole and the shower facilities. And there are platypusses-platypi or whatever the plural of platypus is. Just hope that the people around you can keep quiet and not disturb them. For us the best time was late afternoon. We didn't see any at dawn. Watch...

A couple of friends and I happened across this place after driving from Hervey Bay, we were so impressed with the beautiful surroundings and the friendly locals. Good facilities, rubber rings provided for the swimming was a bonus! Would love to come here again if I ever have the chance thank you Wazza!

Nice atmosphere, other guests, mostly backpackers. Really enjoyed the place but the host was not around at the time. Decided to do some groceries, got back and the host was there. In the end the host made us decide not to stay there. Even though the nature was beautiful, the host had a bad first impression and wasn't friendly at...

We had one night at Wazza's place. We stayed in our car and I think that's the best way to stay here. The place is very "hand made", but everything worked when we were there. Everything is in one with nature, the toilet, the shower, kitchen and the pool which is just a pool in the river. The shower is...

This place is absolutely beauty and should not be missed. Best camp I have stayed in Oz so far, more spaces r tents than vans but I'm sure wazza would fit you in. Please ignore what people say negatively toward the camp I had a great time with wazza he was so friendly and informative. The gorge is beautiful and...

This is low key camping (Wazza, the owner also rents basic huts) so don't expect luxury. But DO expect beautiful rain forest, the sound of water as you sleep (you will camp next to the creek),showers that open out onto the rain forest, a beautiful swimming hole which you will often have to yourself, a great café up the road...

This is a beautiful area to be in, the cool running water over the rocks, the birds singing and the fantastic Ulysses butterflies and colourful moths were all over. My family of five enjoyed having a disconnect from technology (no signal) and just getting back to nature. Unfortunately, all the beauty of nature was momentarily dampened by our unfortunate, rude...

We spent one night at the Platypus Bush Camp and were not impressed, leaving early next morning instead of staying another night. It was advertised as $10 camping which turned out to be $20 and a large hidden rock in the middle of the driveway almost did serious damage to our rental car. Camping spots are not level and kitchen...

I have experienced most aspects of this wonderful piece of paradise and appreciate all that it has to offer..I would like to say to those folk who did not enjoy their stay that they should only go to a...
