We were greeted with a huge smile from Jenny. Shown through all the available accommodation options along with a full, fun & informative tour of the property including some great walks close by. When Jenny opened the door to the Old Church ( our accommodation for the night) we were blown away by the amazing space and the effort to...

Hi Kirk, Thank you so much for your lovely review. It was so nice to meet you both and hopefully next time you will be able to stay longer. I just love the Church as well and the amazing vibe in this place I'm sure is from Mt Tibrogargan!!! Kind Regards, Jenny

For anyone wanting to pack up a cooler of food and relax in the forest, this is a nice, rustic escape. The grounds and sitting areas are gorgeous. We stayed in the church - it is HUGE. You could easily fit a large group. The bed was super comfortable and quiet. The in-room kitchen has basic kitchen cooking supplies and...

After a very stressful week in the City my partner and I just needed a night to escape and we could not have asked for a more perfect place for it than the Glass House Mountain Eco Lodge! Not only is the property surrounded by some beautiful national parks with some great walks but the property itself is gorgeous! With...

A wonderful place to come and revive yourself. The owners and staff were delightful and had many great suggestions of things to do in the area. The rooms are small but with enough place for a couple and a suitcase. Breakfast in the train carriage was great and I loved waking up to hear the birds in the morning.

Our family of 4 spent 2 nights here recently while visiting Queensland. The setting is beautiful and quite relaxing. The kids especially liked the nearby forest. We paid for the morning breakfast (you could prepare your own in the railway kitchen) and it was money well-spent. The surroundings in the morning (we get up early) were very peaceful and it...

I love this place. Jenny, the host, couldn't be more helpful. She showed us around the property giving us insight into the plants and surroundings, showed us some places on the map we could go trekking, and was kind enough to book a kayaking trip (blue water) for us when we asked about it. The room is beautiful, with wooden...

Stopped one night at Ecolodge and enjoyed the experience apart from the mozzies! Quirky place with recycling as the theme ( which we thoroughly endorse) in a beautiful setting. Jenny and Terry were most helpful with Jenny advising on walks and things to do and Terry providing the breakfast. Some reviewers have said that the B/F was expensive at $12/pp,...

Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review. I believe the breakfast is also great value and with such a lovely gentleman serving you as well. The mossies were bad the time you were here, just after we'd had quite a bit of rain. Will have to look into that air conditioner. It was a shame you...

Took friends from Paris to stay with us there we all love the character, originality, great style and very comfortable carriages that we booked I highly recommend them for 'a surprise in the bush' get away as it is so different accomodation. The carriages have been very well, beautifully refurnished.

We stayed in this place just for one night for its very convenient location near Australia Zoo and it was a very pleasant surprise. The owners have made this a very beautiful, special and relaxing place where you could also spend more nights, just to chill out. Great facilities to cook your meals, but they also serve a nice breakfast....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the heart of a National Heritage treasure, the Glasshouse Mountains Ecolodge offers a unique ecological experience of this fascinating area of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland in South East Queensland. It makes a fantastic base from which to explore the 26 million year old volcanic plugs that make up this incredible landscape, as well as the coastal beaches and hinterland villages. During your stay at the Ecolodge (set on 5 acres of orchard and forest beside a small creek) you can discover bush tucker, enjoy nocturnal frog spotting and bird watching (over 60 different types of birds have been seen). A great place to relax and unwind in this peaceful and quiet nature haven with its birds, butterflies, dragonflies, and even kangaroos. National park walks start 400 metres from the front entrance. Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo is just 10 minutes away and the Ecolodge is only an hour north of Brisbane. ... more   less
