Sugar Beach Hotel was one of the finest places where we have ever stayed. The rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet; the food was consistently excellent and the service was friendly and exemplary; the beach was beautiful;, and the pool was lovely. Our stay was the high point of our vacation in Costa Rica. Thank you.

An older jewel, still charming, lovely private beach and location. The king suite was spacious, two double doors, private terrace, beautiful tiled bath. Friendly and quiet, pool, massage spa, adequate restaurant.

Best vacation spot in coastal Guanacaste for rest and relaxation. Nice beach, endless pool, monkeys, iguanas and birds. Restaurant food is good so no need to gp anywhere else. Staff is very pleasant and helpful.

Let me start off, I love this place. Funny part, even the locals don't know about Hotel Sugar Beach. As I said...hidden gem. There are two ways to get to the hotel, Monkey trail and the longer way around. If you are adventurous take Monkey trail. You will need to cross a little creek/river, we took the left edge of...

We LOVED this hotel. It was small, secluded, the food and drink were delicious, and it was well worth the money. Our room was large and beautiful and we felt completely spoiled. We took a catamaran tour which the front desk booked for us. We were able to see other properties along the coast and were totally validated in our...

The Playa Pan de Azucar is a nice beach suitable for families. The Sugar Beach is the only hotel directly on this beach. It also has a small pool and a restaurante. We had a beachfront room #22 which is recomendable. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The beachfront room has a small terrace with chairs. The hotel is very...

I could not imagine a better place to be than Sugar Beach Hotel during the Fukushima earthquake! This is one of my favorite places in all of Costa Rica, at a sublime beach and surrounded by little islands that one can easily swim around. The water is always warm, and the staff was incredibly kind. I ate all my meals...

The location on a secluded, private cove is absolutely beautiful. I woke up to howler monkeys lounging in the trees next to my room. The staff was attentive and courteous. The food and drinks were excellent. Not big and fancy but clean and comfortable. A wedding party arrived the day before I left and made me think, what a wonderful...

This place is the next best thing to heaven! The location is so photogenic you could create your own calendar for next year of these beach scenes and sunsets. The staff at Sugar Beach is like family. We've been coming here for about 17 or 18 yrs and some of the same folks have worked here the entire time! The...
