Detailed Reviews
Amazing location for sunsets and with the restaurant way out on the lookout tower you have. 250 degree view. The pool below is great for sunrises too so I could not figure out which was east or west even though I was on the East side. The staff were friendly and the hospitality was amazing for family fun. Free concerts with drink in the evening so it was comfy sitting drinking with other happy people and being entertained by the singer. I don’t understand Chinese music but he was funny and a good entertainer. The main restaurant had very good food with great choice so I don’t know why the hotel had the other expensive restaurant as very few went there? The Chinese music was playing all the time on the hotel speakers and a bit repetitious but then I don’t like supermarket musak so…

The service quality of the hotel is very good, and every service staff is kind and polite. The room is neat and clean, and the equipment is novel and diverse. It is very suitable for bringing children to play. There is a children's paddling pool and an adult swimming pool. It is convenient for changing and bathing. There is also air conditioning, hair dryer and dehydrator. The only trouble is that there is no self-service washing machine in the whole club, so clothes have to be washed and dried in Hengchun Town. The buffet items are rich and diverse, with both Chinese and Western styles available, so you don’t have to worry about not finding what you want to eat. The view from the hotel suite is very charming, and the balcony is super large, where you can make tea and chat, which is very leisurely and enjoyable. It is a place worth recommending to everyone for vacation.

It is already our third stay there. The quality of the service is amazing. The staff is helpful, smiling and efficient. We stayed there for Christmas and they made this time perfect for the kids delivering our gift behind the door that morning.
It is highly recommended place if you need to relax with your family.

H-resort
賴在 Point Coffee or UFO Tower Coffee, 肯定不想走
都會生活慣了 你決想不到Formosa 有這種地方 !
氣候變化時 宛如火星
稱如此海島 但連海真正樣子 可能到老死 都不知長什樣子
來這可以體驗一下
So charming, so fantastic

Rooms are clean and well equipped, good and friendly service. Very nice view--all ocean fronts, from the rooms, lobby, lounge, swimming pool, garden, almost anywhere. Quiet environment, suitable for a weekend getaway. Only a little bit far away from Kenting and the closest convenience store is about 8 minutes driving, other than that is nothing to complaint. They have a big parking lot and golf kart transfer as well. Definitely one of the best in southern Taiwan, I should be back again.

I don't write many reviews, but our experience here warrants a warning. My partner and I stayed in this resort for 4 days and 3 nights. First, the good: the rooms were comfortable and the staff was friendly. But there were many problems that made this hotel far from being up to an international standard for a 5-star vacation resort.
First and foremost, this hotel is very inconvenient to anything in the area, and the services available do not make up for this problem. To get to Hengchun or the National Park, it is a 30 minute drive or 1 hour public bus ride. But the hotel only provides one shuttle per day, in the evening before dinner. At any other time, we either have to wait for a public taxi and pay almost 1000 TWD (30 USD, insane in Taiwan) or take the public bus. To take the public bus, you have to walk about 10 minutes down the road to the side of the interstate and wait in the sun. Three times we tried to take this bus. Once, it worked fine but the driver was yelling and extremely rude. The second time, the bus passed us without stopping. The third time, the bus driver stopped but said it was the wrong bus, when it was very obviously the right bus. This of course is a problem with the incompetence of the public bus system, but for a 5-star hotel in the middle of nowhere to make guests deal with this is totally unacceptable.
Second, the hotel is right next to the highway. There is a constant noise throughout the day and night of motorbikes and cars and trucks. Further, the pool is in front next to the highway so it's not relaxing at all.
Third, the "beach" isn't really a beach at all but a collection of dangerous rocks that you can't sit on and can barely walk on. And it also is right next to the noisy highway.
Fourth, the pool cleaning time is from 12:30-13:30 and it closes then, which is right in the middle of the few hours of heat this time of year. Why wouldn't they close the pool at night and clean it then?
Fifth, the UFO bar and tea house has a high minimum spend. And a single coffee is $900 (9 USD)! It feels like the strategy is to make it so inconvenient to leave the hotel that you're forced to pay insane prices for food and drink at the hotel.
Sixth, housekeeping was substandard. On the first night, the two glasses in the room weren't cleaned. And we had used one of the two pairs of slippers, which were taken away and not replaced. On the second day, we used the second pair of slippers which were also then taken away. So we had to call down and ask for new slippers.
Seventh, the breakfast is passable but it's not good. Both Chinese and Western food are far below what they should be in a hotel at this level. The bread tastes stale, the Chinese food is dry, the western eggs and meat taste not very fresh.
For what we paid for this hotel--international 5 star prices in cheap taiwan--we expected much, much more. We won't come back and we would encourage you all to stay away.

To the general manger of H Hotel in Pingtung
I have to say that this has not been an easy task. I have tried to reach the general manager for more than three weeks now. I do not understand why H Hotel makes it so hard to get in contact. You do not have any e-mail address on the homepage nor on Facebook. You can only reach the hotel trough phone. The contact form on your homepage does not work either. Maybe you should go ahead and fix this so guest can contact H Hotel electronically?
So in order to get in contact with the hotel I have now been writing privately on your Facebook page. After getting in contact on Facebook, it took one more week before I got your e-mail address.
We stayed in your hotel for our honeymoon from 08/07/15 to 11/07/15
At the check-in, we told the receptionist that we was there for our honeymoon. They was surprised, even though we stayed in the so-called honeymoon suit. We asked if we could get something in our room since we was there for our honeymoon. H Hotel provided us with two very small bottles of wine (red and white). During our two weeks in Taiwan H Hotel was the hotel that gave us least.
Our question is why all the rooms in the 8th floor are called honeymoon suits? Do the hotel know the meaning of the term honeymoon?
If you have rooms called honeymoon suit it should provide something special.
As newlyweds, it would be great if it were a bottle of champagne, flowers or fruit in the room when arriving. However, it was nothing, just an ordinary room. If you have people visiting H Hotel on their honeymoon it should be a room only for them, not for the whole 8th floor. It is better of calling these rooms deluxe or something similar instead of honeymoon.
I have to say that we are disappointed in H Hotel regarding this matter. We were not treated different than any other guests that stayed in your hotel. In other words, H Hotel did not make our stay any special. It is strange that the hotel is not trying to do anything special for guests staying there on honeymoon.
Now we would like to move on to the food in H Hotel.
Breakfast:
I am western, so I like bread for breakfast. The toaster does not toast the bread at all. After running the bread trough the machine for the 6th time it has a small tint of toast color on it. It does not help to adjust the temperature setting on the toaster either.
I like to have banana on my toast. This was not easy to find in the hotel. I had to ask several times for banana, as it was nowhere to be seen in the breakfast area. The respond was that you did not have any banana. Why don’t you have banana?
Further, why do you only have two different jams? Why is there no chocolate spread? Why do I have to ask for more milk for my cereal? Why do I have to ask for more bowls to have cereal in?
As a guest, it should be really unnecessary to ask any of these things to your staff. You should never run out of milk, cereal or anything during food service. To be frank with you, I
have never ever stayed in a hotel before that runs out of food during breakfast, lunch or dinner. Furthermore, my wife discovered a cockroach in your congee for breakfast. The congee was replace with a new one but nothing was said to my wife. You was not sorry that this ruined her breakfast that day.
Dinner:
The space are enormous when it comes to sitting area. However, it is not much food provided for all these seats. During dinner service, you are running out of food. We have to ask for more vegetables, which takes the hotel 20 minutes to fix. When empty container are replaced with fresh new vegetables, it is lukewarm. In general, it is not enough food during dinner service. It looks like the hotel is more keen of removing empty dishes from tables than making sure that you are not running out of food. Again, I have never been in a hotel I have to ask for more food. It also seems like you are trying to serve “up-scale” Taiwanese food. What is the point of this? Why can’t H Hotel serve dumplings, noodle soup, fried rice, sizzling hot plate etc. just to mention some.
The food in general is lacking flavor. I really love Taiwanese food and the dinner in H Hotel was a huge let down. It is much better to travel back to Kenting and eat there.
Sky bar
We went here to have something to drink. The place was icy cold. Aircondition was set to a ridiculous low temperature. Anyways we wanted to have some drinks. So we proceeded to order beer and a cocktail. Drink was served, but we would like some snacks with it. So my wife went to ask the bartender if they had nuts, crackers or potato chips. Answer was they did not have this.
Checkout:
One good thing to say, check out is quick and so is check in.
Why doesn’t you asked the guest how the stay was?
One easy sentence: How was the stay at our hotel?
If you asked us this at the checkout, we would ask for the general manager so we could bring this information to him\her. You did not bother asking us anything, and we have to spend a lot of time afterwards to get hold of the GM.

In comparison to other higher end hotels in this region, I prefered this one. The building is new and somewhat majesticly situated on the hillside overlooking the ocean. During our stay, the staffs were so attentive that I felt I am a VIP. The room were nice sized and clean. The dinner and breakfast buffets were actually better than those at other hotels on the Kenting main street. Although it was a bit far from the scene, I actually enjoyed the seranity. It would be more convient if we drove. But, the shuttle services were great (Be reasonable, we could not expect to hop in a bus whenever we feel like it.) I must compliment the drivers. They were very professional. We visited here in a Winter month, and I did not use the infinity pool. But, it looked gorgeous. Even there was no one in the pool, the pool was open with an attendant. The hotel was really trying hard to make sure that we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended and Bravo!

For our holiday to the south of Taiwan in September, 2017, we chose the H Resort as part of a Jebsen Holidays package. Our flight landed in Kaohsiung where we spent a day and the following afternoon we took the shuttle bus belonging to H Resort from the pickup point near the Kaohsiung high speed railway station. We booked the shuttle bus seats online by emailing H Resort before we left Hong Kong on our holiday.
It was a pleasant ride on a large tour bus and when we arrived at H Resort hotel staff was there at the entrance to help us with our luggage. The check in process was fast and the hotel staff was helpful. Our hotel rooms were very spacious and I believe all the hotel rooms have balconies facing the ocean as the hotel and its facilities are built on platforms cut out of a slope.
The evening on the day of our arrival we paid to get on a hotel shuttle bus which took us into Hengchun, a historic town on the edge of the Kenting National Park. Since the shuttle bus schedule was limited and we wanted to see as many of the sights in Hengchun and the national park as possible in our three days there, we went into town the following day and rented a car. The H Resort is a good facility for guests who drive because it has a large expanse of open air and free carpark built into the slope of the property below the hotel building. Guests were driven to and from their cars by a hotel staff on an electric vehicle or golf cart.
This resort hotel has enough facilities to keep its guests occupied without having to leave the hotel -- with its infinity pool, gymnasium, café and restaurants, souvenir shop and children's play area. The breakfasts in the H Restaurant each morning were very good with a large selection of healthy and tasty foods. The service was attentive and efficient. I noted that there were many families with children at breakfast and I imagined that this was a popular hotel for families to get away for a week end.
Overall, we were very happy with our stay and really enjoyed the service, the spaciousness, the cleanliness and well-kept environment of the H Resort, and also the panoramic views from the balcony, and the UFO Lounge where we had afternoon tea.

I have to say the resort is perfectly for couple or family.
I recently travelled with my friends when visit my home Taiwan.
And i was surprised the hotel's management detailed check anything can be improved.
As i am doing hospitality industry job so i do understand how good is this resort and of course some tiny thing can be fix but not major.
Also i want to command the guest from norway name follox who left the bad review.
If you expecting some honeymoon special, pay for whatever you want.
They are selling the room call honeymoon suite not honeymoon package, i did checked the price you wouldnt pay much more to get special pacakge with any extra facilities.
So stop whinging as i can see you just want to claim something complementary. It is really such a shame for the beautiful country you came from.
Also the other things you complained i cant really see the issue so i do strongly suggest you stay at your lovely home and never travel to ruining your own life and bother such a good resort what good review they deserved.
Amen.
