Hotel was located in Taitung city, reachable from airport and railway station by taxi. Taitung bus interchange is reachable 5 mins by foot. Lots of eating options nearby and the hotel has a restaurant serving breakfast and dinner.
We had a quad room with a big bathroom. Wifi was quite weak hence we need to use our own wifi router. Bed was comfortable though the pillows were on the soft side.
Buffet breakfast provided, options were decent enough.
The hotel also provides a one time free transfer to the railway station.

Located in the heart of Taitung, the Inn by the village was a beautiful and pleasant hotel. The staff was really friendly and welcoming.
The rooms were modern, very clean, well equiped and large enough for travelers with some bulky luggage as we were. The only small complain was a fairly inefficient wifi.
The breakfast was plentiful, varied and very good.
The inn was a very nice stop on our trip to Taiwan and definitely we recommend it.

The public transport in Taitung was a little hard to navigate and it took us a while to get to this hotel from the Taitung train station. The room was huge and well equipped. We took advantage of the free bikes and did the mountain ocean bikeway. The breakfast was generous but very busy. May I suggest to the hotel that they have their windows cleaned as it was apparent that these had not been cleaned for some time. The location was good with lots of restaurants around the hotel. The reception staff tried very hard to communicate in English - which we appreciated as we speak nil Mandarin - Thank you!

Check in time was 3pm. We (a party of six or 3 rooms) arrived at 4:40pm after an exhausting day of surface travel. Upon arrival we were told our rooms were not available and were still being cleaned. We complained to the "manager" and asked for other rooms so that we could immediately rest and unpack. He advised there were no additional rooms. However a member of our party checked on-line and saw 4 rooms were available. He denied it.
We were escorted to the breakfast area and asked to wait for our rooms. We waited and after going to our rooms we discovered they were musty smelling and not cleaned very well. You could write your name in the dust on the shelf.
Good restaurants are a distance away. If I find myself in Taitung again, and I did enjoy the city, I will not stay at this hotel.

This hotel was great and met our needs. The hotel is clean, safe, has an elevator, and is in an excellent location. The room had a fantastic shower, a safe, a mini fridge, a hairdryer, and it was very clean. Every day when the room was cleaned 2 new water bottles, tea bags and coffee (for use with electric kettle) were left for us (no charge). They have laundry facilities, but they are not free. There is an area where you can fill your water bottle and save money by not having to buy it. Breakfast is in a restaurant attached to the hotel; it is an excellent buffet with both Asian and Western offerings.

Good located big hotel. Spacious rooms with nice bathrooms. Also private parking possible. Front desk staff spoke well English and was very helpful and kind. We were also used the free bikes. Did not like the breakfast (Chinese style and very limited choice) and staff at breakfast was not very friendly, nor was the staff at the hotel's restaurant. Nevertheless, for this price the hotel is very good

I only got to stay here overnight for about 7 hours but was so impressed by the property that I hope to come back. It's in a nice location with shopping and restaurants all around. Taitung is slightly edgy and frayed around the edges but I appreciated the amenities close by after a long day at work.
The room itself is a great layout, particularly if there are two of you. You enter the room and to left is a private shower and a galley-style sink and counter with a large bench behind. That bench is one of the smartest travel innovations I've seen anywhere as what looks like a low deep bench is actually a landing shelf for your suitcase. Beneath the bench is a large pullout drawer where you can store a few of your clothes and things. It's next to the shower and right behind the sink, so really a thoughtful set up. Kudos to the architect for functional design!
The hotel looks Scandinavian and the lobby is spacious and clean. The check in process was quick and easy. There is a restaurant adjacent which I didn't get to eat at but it was quite cute and they packed us box lunches of pastries sandwiches, and a juice box to go.
I had a lovely stay that was far too brief due to our evening arrival and early departure. I was thankful that the hotel opened up the coffee machine for us to get some caffeine in us before we headed out for the next town.

This was an unpleasant ending of my Taitung trip. When we checked in at the hotel at 5pm, the front desk staff said the family room with two queen beds I booked via a hotel booking website was full. They still needed to figure out what is going wrong with the booking system. Instead of an upgrade, I was offered a downgrade to a standard queen room with a king size bed and two uncomfortable roller beds with a gap in between.
With a price difference of TWD 1100, I would rather have had the family room, consisting of two queen beds, a bathtub, and a balcony. Also, the family room size was almost twice as large as the room we got. I was quite disappointed as the hotel got some good reviews when I did the research. I do not know whether it was the hotel’s fault or the third party website’s fault, but it is likely that I will not be going to Inn by the Village the next time we visit Taitung.

This hotel was very simple, business style hotel. Very clean rooms and spacious! The rooms are very quite we slept very well here! Nice view of the mountains and the city.
There is laundry machines and dryers you can use for 30NT$ per use.

The location is very good, 5 min walk from the bus station and the travel information center. It's also close to many famous local food restaurants. The hotel is new-look, clean and comfortable. And the staff are nice and friendly. The second floor comes with a big welcoming room where you can enjoy some drinks or snacks. The breakfast is good with a lot of choice. Overall, it's a very good place to stay and I wish to come back again.
