Excellent Staying Experience for Business Trip,
Two nights stay, I was impressing several things from Royal Taipei Hotel, some pros and cons listing below for reference:
Pros,
1. The bed is super comfortable and let me sleep well for two nights!
2. The bath and shower is settled very well done, won’t make wet easily in shower room.
3. The bed prefer nice pajamas, two colors slippers, many clothing hangers, fragrances amenities, those were shown the quality of hotel is premium.
4. The room is absolutely clean and quiet.
5. The sauna is located in top floor, it was comfortable facilities even though it was popular may not easily make well reservation all the time.
6. I try Japanese’s afternoon tea at Nakayama Japanese Restaurant located in 2nd floor of property. It was beautiful box set and delicious.
Cons,
1. The room is tiny and the space is enough but just a little bit tiny.
2. The tea bag and coffee power is just okay but really low-end stuffs.
Overall, it was excellent staying experience and I definitely will visit Royal Taipei again.

We stayed at this hotel during a family trip of 6 - 2 double rooms on the 12th floor, and a twin room on the 9th floor. The rooms were extremely clean, and very good toiletry sets.
My parents said that their double room on the 12th floor had sounds of dripping water (maybe because of the rooftop pool which is only open during warmer seasons), so I would recommend rooms on the lower floor.
The twin room we had was much bigger too, with a nice lounge chair and lots of space for our luggages. I also really appreciated the front desk staff for their help in finding packing materials for us, and they were always on-hand to help us with anything we might need.
They also have a pillow menu, which I made use of since the down pillows in the rooms were too soft for me.
All in all, this was a fantastic place, good location and I would definitely stay there again.

Mt wife and I just returned from a 4 night stay at the Royal Nikko and couldn't be more pleased with our selection of this hotel! We knew that we wanted to stay in this neighbourhood and the hotel was perfect for us. The staff, from the front desk to the porters to the rooms cleaners were all very polite and courteous. They made us feel at home each and every day. The hotel itself is beautiful and the room that we were assigned was perfect. I used the gym every morning and together we visited the pool each day. It really was a great choice for our staycation. We're already looking forward to getting back!

This is a wonderful, upscale, legacy hotel located in the center of Taipei. We liked the view overlooking the green canopy of the Zhongshan North Road tree tops, the comfortable beds and the attentive, professional service. The hotel is also close to Dihua Street, Ningxia night market, and Dadaocheng. Would highly recommend visitors seeking a "classic" Taipei hotel to book here.

I stayed at this hotel for a 2-night, 3-day trip to Taiwan with my mother. It was my mother's first time going to Taiwan, and she was very nervous, but I felt that the sense of security that she could speak Japanese was something you'd expect from a Japanese hotel. As for the room, while many hotels only have showers, this one had a bath, so it was great that we could soak in the hot water and relieve our fatigue. If I had to say one thing, the water pressure in the toilet was weak and sometimes it didn't flush the first time, so I would have appreciated it if the water pressure was a little stronger. Other than that, I was very satisfied.
Also, the hotel staff's service was particularly impressive. When we asked the front desk to make a reservation for dinner, some of the restaurants did not accept reservations, but they sent a letter to our room to let us know, and both my mother and I were impressed by their wonderful service afterwards. They tried their best to help us foreigners, and while many Japanese hotels are not quite up to this standard, thanks to the hospitality and kindness of the staff here, both my mother and I fell in love with Taiwan, and it was a great memory.
If we have the opportunity to come to Taiwan again someday, we would definitely like to stay at this hotel! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is thinking about traveling to Taiwan, especially to those who are traveling to Taiwan for the first time.

I stayed with a friend (5th time in Taiwan) for 4 nights and 5 days from August 29th to September 2nd.
This is my 11th trip to Taipei and my first time at Laoye Hotel.
In the past, I have stayed at Shangri-La twice, Regent twice, Laoye Hall Taipei Southwest twice, CU Hotel twice, Mandarin Oriental once, Okura once, Sheraton once, and Park Taipei Hotel once. I moved hotels in between, so I stayed 12 times. I was looking forward to Taiwan after a long time because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
I was assigned to room 1104, which overlooks the Regent Hotel and has a good view for Taipei, so I was satisfied. I was not satisfied with the poor drainage on the shower side, so I took a shower in the bathtub every day. I change my pajamas without pants every day, but on the third day, one button was missing, and on the fourth day, a button hole was chipped and it was removed. Well, it's a bit disappointing, but I'll live with it. Every time I return to the hotel, I am comforted by the smiles of the doormen, and I was quite satisfied, so I thought I might stay at this hotel again next time.
But maybe it's because good things come with many troubles, but the shop assistant was really scary. The shop assistant when I bought 3 bags of nougat was smiling and had a great attitude, but when I went to buy some cookies I forgot to buy, the shop assistant was not there. If you work in a hotel, you should at least not have that attitude. Maybe she was in a bad mood? But even in a store with a reputation for being scary, she was much better than that shop assistant. I guess she couldn't even say thank you because she wasn't a customer for a purchase of 250 NTD. I was only at the shop for less than 5 minutes, but it was awful.
Anyway, my friend, who is usually extremely gentle, was so angry that I removed this hotel from my list of hotels for my trip to Taipei in February next year. She said she absolutely didn't want to stay there, so I'll look for another hotel.
I was really comforted by the doorman's simple smile and greeting, so I'm very disappointed with the attitude of the shop assistant. All the doormen are 5 stars, the front desk lady is 3 stars, and the shop assistant is 1 star.
There are many good points, so I hope this hotel has a smile. Thank you for your help.

The hotel does show its age. While the rooms were comfortable and some upgrades have been made (e.g., USB-C sockets for charging), but the little things showed age like the carpet, lifts, etc. However, the service was top notch. Everyone was polite and willing to help make our stay an enjoyable one. Importantly, the hotel was very well located - just a short walk from the Zhongshan MRT, and the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi in Zhongshan, Ningxia Market.

A very clean & furnished Japanese Management Hotel. A medium size Hotel at a centralized location. Metro line a few minute walk around the corner and is easily accessible to the town area and other lines. Quite a few food options is around the Hotel. There's a popular night market nearby and can be access by walking. There's a bakery at the lobby which sell standards pastry & cakes. The area is quiet & peaceful during the night but is very safe to hang around.
Room is very neat ,clean and its comfortable. Its very nice to have the shower & bathroom at a separate area/room. The room comes with international plug which is very convenient. Housekeeping team are nice and will ensure the room kept clean & tidy daily. Staff in the hotel are welcoming.
Price is affordable for the location and quality of the stay. Only down points is the concierge is crowded during check in/ out period, however the staff will initiate with the help of the language arrangement while waiting . Try to avoid the peak timing. Its a great place to stay for a short stay. Will be back.

It is located right outside the Zhongshan MRT station, so it is very convenient and convenient. The hotel is clean, and there are three Japanese staff at the front desk, so you can feel at ease. The rooms are also clean and you can relax. This time, I made a reservation through the One Harmony website, and I was given a ticket to the Royal Big Lounge when I checked in, so I was grateful to be able to use the lounge freely. Although it is called a lounge, you cannot eat or drink like at the airport, but they provide beer and other soft drinks, so I used it.

I visited this hotel again after 9 years because of its relatively reasonable price and location.
I made a reservation at the last minute and asked about various things by email, but it was very helpful that the Japanese staff responded quickly.
My request for the room was also fulfilled, and it was a very comfortable stay.
There were always several Japanese staff members at the front desk, and they were happy to answer my questions about sightseeing and other things.
The room was superior, and although it was slightly worn out, it was spacious, clean, and comfortable.
There was also a problem with the sink, but it was repaired quickly.
However, it seems that the ventilation fan in the bathroom stops when the lights are turned off, so I washed and hung out my sweaty clothes, but they were not dry by the next morning, which was a bit of an issue.
It had been a while since I had stayed here, but thanks to the kind staff, it was a really comfortable stay.
I will definitely use their services again when I go to Taipei!!

Hello Yes I check with Hotel, Parent’s consent letter is acceptable if guest is under 20 years old. Hope that helps!
I suggest you take subway from airport to Taipei station and take taxi from there. It is short ride. Traffic congestion in Taipei is can be quite bad so subway will be the best.
Suggest you contact the hotel. I'm guessing they have but don't know.
They have a toll free number in Sing 800-1865-005
Hope this helps
