Tamodi Lodge is magnificent! Owen and his staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived! The rooms are carefully thought out with amazing attention to detail and have the most breathtaking views! Breakfasts were delicious and if we are ever in the region again we will definitely be back!

Tamodi Lodge is a beautiful guesthouse. Designed and built to the highest standards, you must look at the doors! It is also in a stunning location with views to die for. We had a great time exploring the surrounding area and the presence of Enricos restaurant just down the road where you can get great fish and sit admiring Plettenburg...

Sometimes when you have a wonderful experience, you return and its not quite so good. Not the case at Tamodi Lodge. It was the best the first time round and it still is. Owen and his staff are so warm & welcoming and the place is quite out of this world. Architecturally the building is stunning, the rooms are spacious...

Tamodi really is something special. We stayed in the honeymoon suite, which is separate from the rest of the lodge, with its own lounge and deck. It was bliss. The setting is beautiful, the lodge is luxurious and sophisticated, and the service left nothing to chance. Nothing describes it better than this: on the second night of our stay we...

Tamodi was the highlight of our holiday and we stayed in lots of nice places. The rooms are very special with great views of the forested valley below while the communal rooms are reminiscent of a baronial hall. Everyone is very friendly the food is excellent and with so few rooms the whole place exudes exclusivity. If they have space...

The relaxed atmosphere and the kind hosts make you feel at home. The lodge has the most stunning view you can enjoy from the edgeless pool with a glass of wine from the wine cellar; there is plenty of choice for any wine lover. The lodge is beautifully located on a hillside from where you can enjoy the sunrise whilst...

The best honeymoon spot ever! The host Owen has taken every detail while designing this magnificent place, with very little to no room for critic. The service by Owen, and his staff is just fabulous. We did not want to leave Tamodi!

Amazing 2 night getaway from the kids and hustle and bustle of life. Breathtaking view from patio and room. Only wish there were more food options for the evening so you don't have to leave this beautiful spot, that said we had two of the most delicious dinners in plett and keurbooms though only a couple of mins away!

We stayed 2 nights in the separate honeymoon suite at Tamodi Lodge, and loved every minute of it. It's clear that a huge amount of money has been spent on this property to make it unique, and it blends beautifully into the wooded environment. There are only a few rooms, which means it's a very relaxing experience in a secluded...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tamodi Lodge and Stables (luxury 4 star accommodation in Plettenberg Bay) was created by Lynne and Owen Johnston, their inspiration born out of a love for horses and the beautiful valleys of the Crags. This passion is reflected in the carefully designed main house and stable buildings. You will relax in the peaceful setting while looking out over indigenous forests, valleys and the Outeniqua Mountains. Two beautiful standard rooms are available as well as our luxurious honeymoon suite. The property forms part of a natural conservancy area and is also a working equestrian farm with a riding school. We provide a full breakfast, but suggest lunch and dinner at one of the fine Plett restaurants. Keurbooms beach is just 5 minutes away, where you can enjoy magnificent views over the bay while watching the whales and dolphins playing in the surf. ... more   less
