Really welcoming couple. Very genuine and good sense of humour. They provide good digs and food at fair prices. If you're into cycling, climbing or the outdoors and want a base in the area and some good local suggestions then I can't see how you'd beat it.

Dan helped us out when we couldn't find any accommodation in Foix. It's about 6km/15 drive away. La Forge is in a great spot if you're exploring the more hidden Ariège - especially if you're on two feet or two wheels. Dan & Claire are very welcoming. The rooms aren't en-suite, but both toilets and showers are literally in the...

I spent a very enjoyable week in the company of Dan and Claire at their B&B in La Coupiere. The accommodation itself is terrific value for money, simple digs that you can relax and unwind in after a hard day in the saddle. Delicious homebaked bread and croissants from the boulangerie across the road are provided for breakfast. And unlike...

I picked La Forge B & B because of its location. Close to many prehistoric caves. Close to Cathar Castles. Close to Pyrenee Mountain Trails. Right in the heart of one of the most beautiful parts of France. All of those things I saw and they were fantasic. But as it turned out, my best memory of the place was...

I spent a week here as a cyclist and had perhaps one of the most relaxing and enjoyable times, Dan and Claire were very good company and cooked some of the best vegetarian food I've ever had. If you want some challenging terrain as a cyclist and a warm friendly place to stay then I don't think you will find...

For anyone looking for a comfortable, friendly, and welcoming place to stay, away from the hustle and bustle of towns and with an extra serving of elbow room, this is for you. Don't expect bellboys and and room service, but do expect fine hosts and the possibilities of homemade excellence coming from the kitchen. A mecca for climbers, trekkers, and...

Dan/Claire have created a really nice atmosphere. They were both really helpful with suggestions of places to go climbing and walking - without this our holiday would not have been the same. I would recommend hiring a car to make the best of the area. Everything was really clean. Big bedrooms, etc. Food was excellent (claire will cook for you...

Six of us spent 4 wonderful nights at La Forge from 14 July – 18 July 2012. After many hours of searching the website, we discovered La Forge and wanted to stay at there because the 15th stage of the Tour de France was ending in Foix. Upon enquiring Dan told me that his B&B was fully booked for two...

Stay here. It's a perfect base for climbers and cyclists - simple, comfy rooms, all mod cons including wifi and a climbing wall, and a beautiful terrace overlooking the hills for unwinding with ridiculously cheap wine. Dan and Claire are the consumate hosts - the first time we visited, we turned up a day early, and me with whiplash (surfing)...
