Stayed for 2 nights when visiting family in nearby Carndonagh and couldn't fault our stay at all. Beautiful scenery looking out towards both Carndonagh and the Isle of Doagh. Easily checked in and were given a choice of rooms - stayed in a twin room with a single and double bed. It was spacious and very, very clean. Breakfast was...

Stayed here while playing 2 rounds at Ballyliffin. Extremely convenient, fair price, comfy bed, good breakfast and great hospitality. Plenty of space for parking. Mary and Sean are excellent hosts. Would come back again.

Doherty's can be found just a few hundred yards down the road from Ballyliffin Golf Club. Very convenient if you have an early morning tee time or want to enjoy the craic (and a few pints) in the club house into the evening hours. Mary Doherty was a friendly host. The rooms were modern and clean. The place is not...

Mary & Shaun are great hosts!! Awesome Irish Breakfasts each morning too!! If Ballyliffin Golf Links is your primary objective for a few days-along with traveling to all that the Inishowen Peninsula has to offer, this is the place to stay. Convenient & quiet, not to mention its the closest structure to the clubhouse. True Irish hospitality & experience.

I love Irish B&Bs. I always prefer to stay in B&B than in a hotel because you feel like you are visiting friends or family. I found Doherty's B&B while travelling in Donegal and looking for some place to stay the night. The owner was very friendly and hospitable, the room very clean and quite big, tea/coffee facilities and toiletries...

Mary took great care of us, even arranging for a lift up to the village for some food in the Lodge hotel (which was excellent). Lovely breakfast in the morning and then a 45 second commute to the golf course!

This b+b needs some decorating, it's dated. Very close to the golf course, its basically on its drive. However the owner was very friendly and helpful. Ballyliffin is very small but it has great views and a good beach.

Four of us on a golf trip to Ireland landed in Ballyliffin in Donegal at Doherty's. The proprietors were very friendly, helpful and typically Irish in their kindness. The breakfasts were perfect to get us ready to play a round at the nearby golf course that had, without doubt, the friendliest people we met on the entire 8 day trip....

“Both rooms we had were nice. A common TV room was a nice place to congregate if you prefer that to watching in your room.”
