Visited today (28/12) family of four. Busy bar area. Ordered from bar menu. 1st mistake. From order to service approx 45 min. Possibly the worst chicken curry man ever made. Chicken and a packet sauce. Grainy. And cold. Welsh hot pot. Chicken and Campbell soup.( or so it's tasted ). Fish was good. And fresh. Spoke to one of the...

We visited the Ballyliffin hotel using our Groupon voucher. We had to cancel our first date but had no problems with the hotel to arrange a new date. We arrived early & a very helpful young lady checked & found our room had not been used the night before & we could check in straight away. The room was clean,...

Our visit was arranged at short notice to attend a funeral. The management and staff went out of their way to accommodate visitors at all times of the day. A good proportion of the guests were attending for the same reason and we heard nothing but compliments about the staff going the "extra mile" and they seemed to sense what...

Stopped here on several occasions, originally choosing this hotel over the others because it is family owned and run and wanted to support local businesses. Rooms are modern enough and are what you would expect of a hotel of this rating even if a little dated. It can be very seasonal and I think they are kept going with the...

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night for a wedding. The night before we stayed in the Ballyliffin Lodge (a 4star) and the beds were comfiest, the breakfast was tastiest with more selection and the Craic was better in the Ballyliffin hotel. I actually spent the evening before the wedding in the Hotel bar with my friends and... BRONAGH...

When we arrived it was dark so didn't see much of the area. Sunday evening and the place was heaving, children running around and the restaurant was full. We had made our booking through an online discounter and although the hotel was clean, staff friendly and the room lovely we wondered what we had let ourselves in for. Dinner eaten,...
