I just returned from a 4-day holiday based at A Piana after a hectic business schedule in Rome at a conference, and it was the perfect anecdote. The accommodations are rustic and comfortable, and host Anna is very welcoming and accommodating (and a very good cook) and planned many great activities for us - cooking classes at a local agritourismo,...

Via piana is in the middle of a small town far away, It has nothing but one grocery store. Going about anywhere is either by walking or by a friendly taxi driver called Frederico (who saved me one day by taking me to Sora to fix my phone ! ) Anna is a lovely quiet host with excellent cooking skills...

Tucked away in the Italian countryside, Via Piana is a refuge from the tourist crowds that make the larger cities feel stuffy and commercialized. Ana is an impeccable host that attended to my every need, and her kindness will make you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. The communal kitchen is clean, well-equipped, and even boasts an authentic pizza...

This is our second stay in Via Piana. Last year we stumbled upon the Countrystay because of the wedding of one of our friends. She married an Italian who was from the neighbourhood. Luckily Anna Gansert was not fully booked so we could stay for 3 nights. We loved the rustic room that we booked, good bed, good matrass and...

The place was absolutely beautiful. I stayed in an old village on a hilltop with mountain views on all sides. My room had stone walls and was very clean with screens on all the windows to keep out the bugs. I ate my meals at a farm a scenic 20 minute walk away. Anna, the manager of the property, was...
