This hotel is on a hilltop overlooking the city. Nice view. The rooms are run down no air-conditioning or heat. The bathrooms have a shower and toilet in same area without shower curtain. Got sick here eating at the restaurant. Internet only works in lobby and then only occasionally. Cheap hotel you get what you pay for......

Located a bit far from town, but with a nice view of Mekelle. 350 birr pr night, stayed one. The room is like a cheap motel, but we kind of liked it anyway. The bathtub-shower had hot water, which is always a plus. The television had several channels. The fridge did not work. We got towels, soap, toiletpaper and bottled...

This hotel had been closed for 6 months supposedly for refurbishment so our expectations were high. Well, I think they just went on holiday as certainly no refurbishment has taken place. The owner/manager was asleep on a sofa in the reception area when we arrived. The whole place is grimy and dirty; the food was shocking - the fish at...

This hotel is by far the worst hotel I've ever been. Not only because it is old, the lamps in the room didn't work properly...it is because it was dirty!! the surroundings are aweful and the staff is unfriendly and slow. In the restaurant the floor was also dirty as well as the table clothes. I always try to find...

Stayed 2 nights. Very clean and spacious rooms with hot shower. Paid 250 birr (12$) for a single without breakfast. Terrace and restaurant offer great views. Restaurant is acceptable and the cappucino is great. Hotel is a bit north of town in a quit area. not suitable if you need excessive city life.I am not sure what some reviewers expect...

Spacious, quiet room with old furniture. Free bottle of water. No Wifi in the room. No English channels on TV. Uncomfortable bed with flat pillows. Cold at night. No curtain in the bathtub and, although the window glass was not fully transparent, it was possible to distinguish people when the light was on - I find that rather unpleasant when...

Clean and spacious rooms in a large domain. Ideal if you want a good sleep and a nice view for your breakfast. Same price category as Atse Yohannes Hotel in the city center but the rooms are better maintained. With a bajaj you are in the city center in a couple of minutes.

We stayed there 3 nights - an opportunity to chill out after Danakil. Our hotel room was clean and comfortable - even if the furnishings and building were both a bit worn. Decent hot water and shower pressure. The staff were the worst we encountered in Ethiopia. They always seemed to muck-up everything - whether it was refusing to replace...

If you have a private car and spending only a night in Mekele waiting to leave on a tour the day after, at 350 birr (breakfast included) per night this hotel might a good choice. Rooms are acceptably clean and located in a quiet garden, but on top of that they have the best hot water pressure we had in...

Stayed here for one night after Danakil Depression trip, so it felt like luxury! My room was basic and clean, if not a bit rundown, with functional shower and hot water. The best part of the hotel for me was sitting on the terrace and enjoying the view whilst enjoying a lovely fresh fruit juice and excellent machiato! Ate dinner...
