The cabins are bit older, but still very clean and well-equipped. The little veranda is very pleasant and to have a glass of wine there surrounded by water and green after weeks of Namibian desert was bliss! We came from Namibia and crossed the Orange river with the pont – just drive down to where the road ends and if...

Whistle-stop into Richtersveld on the last night of our CPT - BOTS - NMB - CPT trip. The Sendelingsdrif pont over the Orange was the drawcard and the drive down from Sossusvlei goes some amazing scenery - dramatic and out of this world. The pont crossing is fun. The Richtersveld Nat Park reception is friendly and helpful, as was the...

Spent some time at Tatasberg (really great) but realised that the 3 and half hour extra drive to Sendelingdrif before crossing the pontoon through Namibia to Kgalagadi would be a horrendously long day. So packed up all belongings and changed site for a couple days. Staff at Sendelingsdrif reception ably assisted in cancelling our Tatasberg accomodation and we had unit...

The chalet itself was tidy and neat. It contained all the essentials and was generally neat upon arrival. The view from the patio however was obstructed by unkept bushes and the patio table was bent and generally not usable. The patio gets a lot of sun without proper shade from the roofing, making it uncomfortable to sit outside up to...

We stopped in one of the chalets overlooking the Orange River for one night. It was well equipped and comfortable, an ideal place to stop after a journey from Springbok via the coast, Port Nolloth and Alexander Bay (strange place, the first time I have had to pay to enter the town). There is a basic shop and fuel and...

We stayed in a 4 person cabin for one night in February 2016 following two nights at the excellent De Hoop campsite. We chose Sendelingsdrif as we were headed to Namibia and we wanted to get away in good time to explore Ai Ais and Fish River canyon. Consequently, spending the first 2-3 hours driving to the Orange Rover pont...

This restcamp is right on the river close to the Ferry Crossing to Namibia. We were two couples, staying over for one night, passing through to Keetmanshoop. This little place surprised us. The chalets were fully equipped with braais outside overlooking the beautiful serene Orange River and sunset. The camp was clean and extremely neat. The staff was so friendly...

We stayed in two chalets each housing two people. The chalet is small but fully equipped with two stove plates, micro-wave, zircon, kitchen utensils and a flat screen TV. Beautiful setting right on the river with green grass and braai outside.

This is a Sanparks reserve and the accommodation serves visitors to the Richtersveld and to those wishing to cross into Namibia using the pont. The cottages are well equipped and comfortable for both an overnight or longer stay..

After twelve days in Namibia, we spent our final night at Sendelingsdrift Rest Camp just south of the Orange River. The camp was easy to find, had shade trees, and was very well suited inside the majestic Richtersveld National Park. There were trees and very neat bathrooms (with hot water!). The service was great - we forgot our Wildcard, and...
