What an unexpected find, called in after visiting Port Isaac for a cold drink, ended up having dinner which was absolutely first rate! The scampi was perfect as were the garlic prawns and the burger was so perfectly cooked and presented, all with double cooked chips Katie the host couldn't have been more attentive. Would totally recommend anyone passing by to call in.

We had eaten here once before but not on a Sunday. So decided to give it a go. The food was cooked beautifully, a good selection of vegetables and the dinner was piping hot. It is also extremely good value. Staff were friendly and efficient.

We stopped over on short notice, as we live near Truro so only a 40min drive, took our camper van as pup offered free overnight parking, and Delabole, is ideal for easy access to Tintagel and surrounding beautiful coastal areas of outstanding beauty planned for Sunday. The Nettle and Chisel staff made us more than welcome, and although we didn't need to commit to having lunch, we were pleasantly surprised by the service and quality, to get her with a couple ponts of Tribute! Job done. The facilities for camping were also excellent. Got it just right, with an open farm shop for all your essentials. Will definitely visit again. Well done!

Who would have thought you could get good old northern hospitality and food down in Cornwall. The food was simple, tasty, good quality pub food but the hospitality was second to none. Jude made the evening. Imogen, his sister, will no doubt learn from her big brother.

A friend recommended this place so we tried it tonight. Friendly staff and really good food. There was a buzz about the place and seemed very popular with lots of people either having a drink or staying for a meal.

This is great pub food. Very friendly place and reasonably priced. Service was quick. Can't fault it!! Parking is in it's own car park. Avoid the crowds at Trebarwith and Tintagel and eat here. Definitely recommend

Had a great meal at this place , pie and mash. All home cooked food and it was a suet pastry on the pie that seemed homemade, delicious. The staff were very friendly as well. We’ll be calling in here again next time we are in the area. The decor was a little odd but how cares when the food tastes so good and the price is right.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal here on the first night of our holiday . The pub was quite busy when we arrived but were invited to purchase drinks and sit in the garden until a table was available. We only had to wait about ten minutes. Service was excellent and so was the food. Would recommend this pub to anyone.
