The Hotel is located right opposite the Certosa di Padula, it lives as the whole village in a kind of oasis of peace and silence. Very good dishes based on fresh fish and local mozzarella, available a pool where you can relax quietly. Unique month not recommended is August because there are many weddings that you're forced to stay awake...

Being the only hotel in Padula, we did not know what to expect. We did expect limited understanding of English but got by with what we needed based on their only speaking Italian. Lack of elevators is offset by their willingness to brings bags up to our room. Rooms are clean, shower and other bath fixtures are modern. Security is...

We spent two nights at this hotel in early August 2015. The property is very well maintained. The rooms are very new and well designed, with spacious balconies overlooking the Certosa. The restaurant is also very nice, with a beautiful garden, and the food is great and at reasonable prices. The negative side is that there have been two very...

We stayed in this area mostly to visit the Certosa di San Lorenzo - so the location of this hotel is ideal. Their parking lot is directly across the street from the Certosa's entrance. The hotel itself is very modern, and the room was quite large and comfortable. Decor was modern and newish. The staff was efficient, if not particularly...

The Grand Hotel certosa exceeded our expectations for quality, ambiance and value. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding towns and villages and we met so many nice people it's hard to start to mane them all. Highly recommended.

My wife, daughter and I arranged to stay Saturday 19th May in order that I could run the Padula half marathon on the Sunday morning. We didn't expect much and we were very surprised to find a very warm welcome and nice room. The marble bathroom although small had a nice walk in shower, the bedroom had a large balcony...

We didn't have high hopes for this hotel. Firstly, we pushed the botton on our GPS unit and it directed us to this hotel as a choice for "lodging". We had no idea where we were going, it was just a late night stop and a scary one at that. We drove off the highway onto a country road with...

We were researching family history in the area and found this hotel mentioned on several websites. We stayed two nights. It is in the valley of Padula opposite the main entrance to the Certosa San Lorenzo. Plenty of parking, not too far off the autostrada. It is very new with furniture in the modern style, lots of marble etc. Top...

In March 2004, I came to Padula on a bus, at night, speaking very little and poor Italian. The bus stops are in deserted locations with no taxis in site. Fortunately, an Italian friend of mine called the hotel and told them that I was on a bus coming in at 9 p.m. The hotel sent their english speaking waiter...
