Stayed here with friends, a beautiful place with incredible views over the Dolomites. Rooms are basic but charming, food and service are excellent. Lots of things to do; walking in the mountains, swimming, visit Lake Garda or Bolzano. Will definitely go back again.

We stayed here for a couple of nights and had a phenomenal time. It's located above the town of Barbiano, secluded in the middle of nowhere, to the point where you have to park in a small car park halfway up and then get a E13 taxi ride up! At first you'll think this is pointless but pretty soon the...

Finding the parking spot to meet the driver of the 4 x 4 to take us up the last ''direttissima'' to our hotel was likely the most challenging part of that day's trip. But with the address ''Rosengartenstrasse 28'' as input into our GPS, no problem at all. And the driver with his 4 x 4 was already waiting -...

We arrived here later than planned after a long walk from Kohlern over the Rittnerhorn. We were greeted by the friendly owner and shown to our room. This was decorated in traditional style and had a large balcony overlooking fabulous views of the Sella Massif and Val Gardena. Beds were comfy, if creaky, and the room was clean and warm....

We stayed here as part of a fortnight's walking trip around the Dolomites. More simple hostel like feel to this hotel, compared to others we had been at - if anything means more sociable atmosphere. Very friendly proprietor and staff. Slightly oldfashioned room, but huge balcony and fantastic views. Good food - although service was very slow. Five courses over...

I was lucky enough to stay here in June 2012 for a few nights. This hotel was just incredible - so charming and unique, peaceful, warm and welcoming. I loved it from start to finish. The food was stunning, the location incredible, and the walks around the area were so beautiful with amazing views of the surrounding Dolomite mountains. Mattias...

This is a wonderfully peaceful hotel high above the valley (no cars, you leave them down in the village & get a ride up to the gasthof). We had a room in the main building, it was made totally of wood apart from the en-suite, it was compact but with great views from the balcony up & down the valley....

I stayed at Bad Dreikirchen during July. I was travelling alone and was keen for some relaxation after a period of illness. The care and attention I received from owner Mattias and his staff was second to none. I was left in peace and attended to when it suited me. I think I was the only English speaking guest while...

What a fantastic place. We stayed here for two days in early May, just after they'd opened for the season. I can't speak highly enough of this hotel: great service, stunning location, excellent value, lovely food and a really nice room. They even catered very well for my wife, who is a vegetarian. On arrival you park you car and...
