The best hotel in Naseby!! A friendly local hotel, an amazing selection of whisky and the food was such a surprise - AMAZING!! I had chicken, potato and walnut soup and it was delicious- restaurant quality. Thank you so much for your hospitality and genuine love of your customers. A great experience

We stayed one night - the accommodation is no Ritz, it is a wing seperate from the Hotel. The room we had was a ensuite room that was adequate for the one night. If needing a fridge etc then there was a lounge/kitchen room within the accommodation wind to use. The room was small but adequate. Be sure to get...

Stayed for two nights excellent food and service. With resident cat Princess aND senior cat Tiger. The proprietor goes out of his way to ensure you have a pleasant stay. The loge rooms have their own bathrooms.

I hadn't tried the Ancient Briton hotel before but it's clearly a popular place. Despite there already being a few people in for dinner, my food arrived quickly. The whitebait fritters were light and tasty with just enough salad for a starter. The chocolate brownie dessert was scrumptious and not too heavy. Definitely visiting there again.

We got stuck in Naseby when our 4WD decided to break a king pin. But I have to say this is quite the cute little place to stay. It's also a small town so everyone knows who you are pretty quickly. We stayed the night here and had dinner, both were good. For dinner I had their chicken salad which...

We stayed at this property as we were doing the rail trail. The hotel was adequate and we met many of the villagers as they were out at a gathering in the pub. The hotels atmosphere was warm and inviting. The dinner let it down. The fish and chips were greasy and not very nice and the Seafood Chowder didn't...

Character pub setting with a character manager as well - Adrian, and ex Aucklander who saw the light and moved to Naseby. Loved the round pool table. Very obliging and helpful to our group of six, put on a great breakfast for us. Thank you. We'll be back one day.

Stopped into naseby again but this time when to the ancient Briton, on a scale of 1 to 10 I have to give it a 10, owner when out of his way to cater to my kids and their food types , really liked that, completely different than the royal pub at the bottom

We stopped in at the Ancient Briton while on the rail trail looking for somewhere to eat. This hotel certainly provided us with a very warm welcome, lots of atmosphere and a fantastic meal. The hotelier was incredibly friendly and the wait staff was also excellent. We would thoroughly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for great hospitality and a...
