We would recommend a visit to this pub after a walk round the lake. Great food and atmosphere in a cosy traditional pub with views.warm welcome from staff and plenty of parking . Advise booking in high season as it can be very busy.

We had a family Sunday lunch and can honestly say we enjoyed one of the best Sunday roasts ever. We had the roasted red pepper soup to start which was delicious then for main course we had roast beef that just melted in the mouth....More

The Wheatsheaf at Lorton is definitely the nearest to The Kirkstile and they also have statics. Alternatively, I believe there are spaces behind The Bridge at Buttermere. Good luck with your search and enjoy.
