Went with 4 for a Saturday lunch meal. Bustling place, obviously popular . Folks having drinks, light snacks or a full meal. Was busy so we were booked into 'the barn' , a room out with the bar area. I suspect it may be more used for breakfasts and overflow. It was chilly with no heating on, but staff did...

We enjoyed our meals both nights although the food choices were more limited on Sat by the time we ordered many dishes had sold out. Staff...

Loweswater is a quiet, secluded spot in the western Lakes and the Kirkstile is a haven for those who want to get away from it all. It is a tasteful, traditional inn serving classy food and offering a selection of its own beers in its cosy bar. When the weather is good there's a beautiful beer garden with stunning views...

After a lovely walk near Loweswater we called at the Kirkstile Inn and discovered a little gem. Lovely warm welcome from the fire and the staff. Great choice of ales and the best fish finger butty you'll ever taste. A lovely warm, welcoming old inn, that is a must visit for all Lakes lovers.
