We loved out stay at Cedar Pass Lodge! It is clean, convenient, and comfortable with classic western decor. ALL of the cabins available to rent are new and modern. Our cabin, #107 was delightful. We booked too late to get a single cabin, but our duplex neighbors were friendly but quiet both nights. I highly recommend the cabins pictured on the left side in the attached photo. The back porch on these cabins are on a nice grassy area and have breathtaking views of the Badlands, especially at night. We ate dinner (takeout from the Cedar Pass Restaurant) in our comfy Adirondack chairs, but a picnic table was also available. Sipping an evening glass of wine (Firehouse Unoaked Chardonnay, sold in gift shop) there while watching the rabbits frolic in the grass in the day was relaxing and fun after a long day of sightseeing. [I packed a corkscrew! :) ] Sunset on the buttes was gorgeous! It was late before the sky was dark enough to see the stars, but they were lovely. Drinking coffee on that same porch with a cool morning breeze was peaceful. Cedar Pass lodge was probably my favorite place to stay on a two week vacation.

The cabins are newly renovated, clean, and in a great location just 1/2 mile from the Badlands. Our cabin had TV, internet, a refrigerator and microwave. The linens and towels are soft and the staff at check-in and so kind and welcoming. We had a great time and would recommend these cabins to anyone!

The Badlands is so strangely beautiful. Otherworldly. And to stay right there with a view out you window....amazing. It was definitely not what you conjure when you hear the word cabin! We had a front and back deck with chairs, microwave, fridge, table and chairs and a comfy bed! Loved it.

These cabins have recently been renovated. They are really cute, cozy, and comfy. We loved them. It was fun sitting on the big chairs on the front porch of our cabin. Friendly staff, fun wine selection and great views.

The location can’t be beat. very quiet, stars at night outside incredible, saw Milky Way for first time in my life. However, there is barely enough hot water for one shower, and the water pressure is terrible. The first night there was not even even hot water for one person, our next door adjoining cabin neighbors must have showered before us. Also they don’t tell you that there is not daily room service, which is fine but should have said that at check in. We had Indian tacos from the restaurant one night (other nights heated up our own food in microwave) and they were good but lukewarm, thankfully we had the microwave to heat them up. The lighting in the room is the worst I have experienced anywhere I have stayed, I realize they try to maintain dark skies, but it is so terrible one cannot do anything in the room after dark, cant read or anything.
