The gift shop at Cedar Pass Lodge is managed by Heidi. She has a talent for stocking the shop with beautiful items. Just walking around the store I appreciated her selections and displays. I purchased several hand made pottery items as a gift. When we presented them to our friend, they were well received. It is usually hard to find...

Be sure to stay in one of the cottages right in Badlands National Park. A bit pricey but truly worth every dollar! The restaurant had great food and fair prices. Be sure to order local favorites Sioux Taco and a Kuchen for dessert - delicious! Wait staff were very nice, too. The park is amazing!

Boy were we glad to find this place one dark night in the fog, unfortunately all the rooms were taken but they called another hotel and booked us in a few miles away. Had a good meal that evening with a "help yourself" breakfast in the morning on our return.

Traveling East to West across South Dakota to visit Badlands and Mt Rushmore. Wanted a venue inside the park so we could enjoy the sunset and sunrise right from our back porch. The Lodge is a beautifully done cabin style setup. Rooms are renovated and reflect a mountain top chalet feel with all the wood features. Bed was very comfortable...

Were on a trip to the Black Hills and wanted to spend time in the Badlands taking photographs. The cabins at Cedar Pass Lodge were a great way to stay right in the park and go shooting sunset and sunrise photos just a few minutes away. The cabins are fairly plain on the outside and rather unimaginatively arranged in two...

We stayed here early in the season (late April, 2017) and were astonished at the poor maintenance of the properties. The television did not work at all. When we were moved to another cabin with a working TV, there was no heat. There were burned out lightbulbs. The shower curtain fell down repeatedly. The dining facility closed at 4:30 p.m....

If you want to actually stay in the Badlands Nat. Park, and you are not a camper, or RV traveler, this is your only option. The location within the park and the new cabin were the two best attributes of our stay here in August, 2016. Our cabin was plenty large, was clean, and had a comfortable bed. Our cabin...

My wife and I first stayed at a Cedar Pass Lodge cabin in June, 2013. After that visit, I wrote a fine review of the facility for TripAdvisor. The cabins were new and very nice. And the folks at the lodge were very helpful and easy with which to deal. Since that visit, I have not written any further reviews,...

We were not impressed with this stay. The cabin was clean and practical, but very rustic, and ours did not have porch off the back so there were no views. We never did get any internet service and the restaurant was poor. When we walked in for breakfast, they told us there were not cooking omelettes and just about anything...

We had a wonderful stay at Cedar Pass. Couldn't have been happier with the accommodations, which were clean and comfortable and very cute, and of course the setting!! Waking up to sunrise in the badland rocks was incredible. Being right in the park meant we could start our exploring right away. So glad we chose this location rather than somewhere...
