Really??? $30 per night for no facilities and no showers, on top of the $30 entrance fee to the park? Ok...the restrooms were clean and so was the campground. Location was good and it was quiet. However, I've stayed in nicer campgrounds in national parks...More

I would give 5 stars but while there I saw a garbage truck take the separated garbage/glass/cardboard etc and proceed to dump them all into one GARBAGE truck. It seems they are making a show of recycling but not actually doing their part. Sept 12th...More

I camped in Loop B (255) right by the road, so it was a bit dusty. Restrooms were clean and close by, though it was a pain to take trash all the way down to dumpsters at the camp entrance. Showers (using quarters or dollar...More

I'm planning a trip to Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Zion in July. This is a road trip from Florida and my family's first time out West. I'm trying to book all our accommodations for the trip and am feeling pretty frustrated about the lack of sites available for reservation online. I'm one day from the opening of the reservation window for my desired date and all sites are already booked. I've read that you need to arrive early (by 8?) to secure a "first come" spot especially on the weekend. We are planning to drive up from the Grand Canyon on Saturday, July 15th so I don't see us making it there by 8 or any time before noon to secure a spot for ourselves. I'm hoping someone familiar with the campgrounds in the area can offer a little guidance here. I've considered leaving GC late on the 14th and staying overnight in a hotel near Bryce Canyon so we can get into the park early enough to get a camping spot. Am I needlessly worrying about this or will it be necessary to take this step?

We are planning on camping at Sunset Campground mid-September with our tent trailer. Would we be able to stay in the tent area (no generators) or are the tent sites walk-in only? I would like to make a reservation, are there any sites that are awesome and private? Thank you for your time!
