We stayed at the Kachina Lodge with two teen grandchildren and their parents for just an overnight. Both of the rooms were on the second floor with AMAZING canyon rim views. The lodge is NOT fancy, but nicely done with spacious rooms, attention to detail, and CLEAN, but it's the location that makes it worth the money. We reserved these...

We stayed a night at Kachina Lodge, as part of a family road trip holiday. The location is unbeatable; right on the rim of the canyon. Signposting to the lodge itself is poor and it's a bit tricky to find, although once you know where it is, it seems rather obvious. The location is incredible however the facilities of Kachina...

As a former "Road Warrior" , who traveled for business for over 30 years and over 5,000 hotel stays, I would NEVER pay the price these hotels charge, for such and average hotel. That said, it was in the park, on the Southern Rim and I only did it because I was with my wife. GRAND CANYON HOTELS- ALL AVERAGE...

The hotel itself is average, motel standard. However, the location is inside the park, you pay for the convenient. When we woke up, we were happy walking around after a nice breakfast in El Tovar. And it's thoughtful having a small refrigerator and safe inside each room. Don't need to pay more for the partial view room. There are so...

Before going we had read some reviews stating that the lodge was outdated, some items malfunctioning, etc...so we were a little worried about our stay...well...it was wonderful! The room was clean, everything worked well, we had coffee and tea and cute toiletries!..plus you just have to love being able to walk our your door and be on the Rim!...at night...

It is difficult for me to rate our stay at this lodge as only average, since the Grand Canyon is spectacular and staying anywhere in Grand Canyon village is definitely advantageous. We are also glad we were able to reserve the room at Kachina as it was hard to find available rooms anywhere in the village. However, since I am...

My family stayed for a couple of days. The hotel is old and pretty dirty. The bathroom had hair all over the place when we check in. But, the location is perfect! Right next to the Grand Canyon. You can wake up, walk outside and enjoy an amazing view!

I've stayed on the South Rim several other times, but at a different lodge. Decided to try this place and was very disappointed. Other than the location and the cleanliness of the room, I don't have a lot of positives. Lots of noise from the hallway and adjoining rooms. The most overstuffed pillows I've seen in the last five years...

As others have said, you are staying at this particular property because of the location - the lip of the canyon is literally steps out the back door. If you are like my family, you are not planning on spending a whole lot of time in the room, or the hotel, when you are visiting the Grand Canyon, the whole...

The lodge is close to El Tovar. I checked in at El Tovar and I lucked up and found a spot right outside my room. We were traveling in February which is not the busiest time of the year which probably is why I was able to park right outside of the room. I got the partial view room after...
