It's curious that in a such a scenic area that the pool designers have gone out of their way to prevent you from taking in much of surrounding beauty. Fencing and hording of people into two small heated pools near the main building and fencing don't do much to inspire. Yes, the water is a bit gross, due to the...

In reading all of the reviews prior to my trip, I got that sinking feeling in my stomach that I had done a bad thing in booking a stay at this place. But overall, I was pleasantly surprised. First off, yes - resort is an overstatement! I would not call it that at all. It is nicer than other WA...

I did travel over Labor Day weekend. This is a very busy place so it's imperative to book well in advance. I've been at lovely resorts all over the world and I could not classify this as a resort. There is a nice building with restaurant, but the lodging is very low key and it is a camp with cabins,...

First of all, remember this is a national park 'resort' - so it may seem pricey for what you get. Second, this is a not a historic park lodge but a 1980s cabin resort. With those expectations, its a lovely place to stay for one or two nights (not more). We had a cabin with two queen-size beds, an eat-in...

We spent the first night in the cabins, and found them modest but clean. The beds were great, comfortable and with crisp white sheets. The next two nights, we moved to the Riverside Suite. What a disappointment! While it was a very large accommodation, the cleanliness was marginal and the ambience was non existent. At it's best, this place was...

Stayed here one night on a WA-OR road trip. Stayed in one of the creek side cabins. The cabin is small and like many NP accommodations has excellent beds, small bathrooms and older style wooden furniture and a high price. You pay to stay in a NP. We ate dinner and breakfast at the Spring Restaurant and enjoyed both meals....

Pictures tell 1000 words - well not quite.. The Hot Spring Pools are nice and well maintained, Yet, the resort pictures make this look like a resort but it really is not. . We had been RV camping and hiking for several days, and we were ready for a real shower and a soak. So the pools and changing room...

The Sol Duc Resort was nothing special. The cabins are small and dark and in need of a complete renovation given the prices they are charging for them. Given that there is no A/C a fan would have been nice. They are in a grass field with no trees or privacy. The young man at check in was very rude...

Beautiful area to see. We would come back for that but, we booked an RV camp site on line and the pictures were very misleading. We were squeezed in there like sardines. We go camping on a regular basis and were very disappointed with the spot. Especially for the price! The only thing they have going for themselves is the...

I visited the site only to use the Mineral Hot Spring Soaking Pool and Freshwater Pool. Check-in (buying access) to the pools was easy. There indoor and outdoor baths for to change in. I arrived early in the morning and found parking easily but saw through out the day that parking was an issue. I suggest having more poolside lounge...
