I enjoyed my stay at the John Muir Lodge. The people were very friendly, but the best part was the spectacular setting in the park. Ask for an upstairs room not facing the parking lot - we could see trees, a snowy hill, and a stream outside our window. We enjoyed the gliders and rocking chairs on the three outside...

Wow!!! I loved this place. My wife and kids feel in love with this lodge. The restaurant Inside was good. The rooms are nice and cozy. We had two free breakfasts and had to buy two additional ones for the kids. Staff was nice.

One really needs two days to see Sequoia and King's Canyon. To leave the park and come back the next day is time consuming and extra driving. John Muir Lodge is in a great spot after the visit to Sequoia. There is a food store and a nice restaurant. The rooms are nicely furnished with rustic furniture and they do...

Where to start? We stayed here for a couple on nights after booking the rooms at home in England, knowing that we probably couldn't just turn up and expect to get in. On arrival we immediately wished we hadn't bothered. We'd spent the previous three nights at Evergreen Lodge in Yosemite, which was fantastic, so expected more of the same....

I am truly sorry for this experience. It is obvious that we did not prepare for the busy weekend while you were here. I will have to do some investigating but I can see that we have some improvements ahead of us. I assure you that this is not how we plan to operate and I will follow up with...

We stayed there for two nights. The first night we went for dinner and the restaurant was booked up having not told us that we had to book prior and having nowhere else to eat we waited for an hour. The food was average, the rooms were average, however this is the only place there is to stay so there's...

We went in early April. Because of the uncertainty of the weather and road conditions, we bought snow chains "just in case" in Fresno and kept them unopened. Though there were snow flurries, the roads weren't affected and we returned the chains with the receipt and received a full refund. Though there was construction of the new restaurant, there was...

John Muir Lodge is conveniently located inside Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park, just minutes from the General Grant grove. The price was reasonable for lodging within a National Park. The lodge is currently undergoing improvements. The interior painting they were performing was bothersome due to the paint fumes inside the lodge. For the elderly people in our group, the...

Nice room with very comfortable beds and beautiful location near redwood grove. Centrally located to see the redwood trees and the beautiful canyon. Great hiking trails throughout the area. Watch for wildlife!

Nice location, that's all. If you need a good night of sleep, don't stay on the first floor, you will be hearing your upstairs neighbors every time they walk. You will also hear every time they flush the toilette (that's very loud), wash their hands. The restaurant will feed you but don't expect too much taste on the food. Pretty...

My husband and I stayed at the John Muir lodge last October. At check in there was an issue with rooms not being ready so they have us a food voucher was very nice. We are pretty laid back, so we didn't care that the rooms weren't ready but some people were pretty peeved. We brought our food back to...
