Who doesn't love Sequoia National Park. Stony Creek is at the halfway point making it the perfect rest stop. We spent the night in a caring room with craftsman furnishings. Only negative..hot water takes forever and no hairdryerd. Front desk warned us in advance that systems are old and the place runs on a generator. Breakfast was superior with multiple...

While visiting Kings Canyon NP, I stayed at the Stony Creek Lodge. The lodge is at a great location if you are visiting Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. I stayed there two nights, May 17 & 18, 2015 and loved the place. On my first night, I got in late (around 10:15 pm) but the lodge had a fire...

The staff at Stony Creek went out of their way to make sure that every aspect of our stay was pleasant. Even though we got there right at closing time and reservation had not been faxed over to them, they reopened the safe and made sure that we had everything that we needed to be comfortable for the night. The...

Me and my family stayed here last year and it was just ok, the service was mediocre, the rooms were ok, the staff was friendly and the pizza was ok. I really didn't want to stay here this time, but didn't have a choice because there were no rooms available in the park accept here. And since we make this...

This is a very nice, old world style, lodge. Nice rooms, great staff. Right next to Sequoia National Park. The rooms are good but without refrigerators. The only bad thing is the water pressure in the shower - it was barely better than a fast drip. Plan to use the ice bucket and water from the sink to rinse off....

Stony Creek Lodge is not a luxury lodge — the rooms are basic and clean. The Lodge offers a complimentary breakfast that is very satisfying. But for a few nights while exploring the Sequoia-Kings Canyon Park, it is ideal. At dinner they have pizza and an occasional special (quite good and very reasonable). Montecito Lodge is 4 miles North and...

This review is for their Pizza bar and not for the rooms and accommodations. If you want to have a so-so slice of pizza at the Stony Creek Pizza bar, make sure that you get there no later than an hour before they close. You would assume that the posted hours of operation would be a good indicator as to...

We lost power a couple times here during our stay. The place is really rustic and nice looking. The park is AMAZING. We only stayed here, because we did not want to drive down the mountain in the dark.

I really do not understand the bad reviews and the low score this lodge gets on this site and booking.com. It is a cozy little lodge in the middle of the wilderness. Still, our room was nicely and cozily decorated, with high quality furniture; the living room is very cozy with the fireplace and inviting furniture as well as wooden...

The first thing I noticed upon arriving was that the roof was patched with a big piece of sheet metal. Given the rust on it, it doesn't appear to be a temporary fix. I was put in a room that, when opening the door, smelled bad. I assume something died in a wall several weeks prior and the odor still...
