Would like to check if there's any restaurants or shop around Small Swiss ? Do we still need to travel to Alishan Railway station thereafter to Alishan for sunrise? How long is the journey from Small Swiss to raiway station ?
Is there any attractions like tribes where we can visit ?
And is there any website to Small Swiss for booking / enquries ?
Will be going in Sep'15 :)

Hi, if you plan to stay at Small Swiss Homestay, you should contact the owner Mr. Charlies Liu. There is no convenient way for you to get to Small Swiss Homestay on your own. What we did was, aside from booking our rooms at the homestay, we contracted the services of Mr. Charlies Liu for two days - for the roundtrip transfer from THSR Chiayi station, for the sunrise viewing (he brought us to this superb viewpoint that was not too crowded and which did not necessitate waking up at 4am as it was quite near Small Swiss), for the trip to Alishan and Fenchihu Old Town and for the trip to watch an Aborigine Cultural Show before bringing us back to THSR Chiayi Station. He also recommended/brought us to two small family-owned eatery/restaurants, (located at Shihjhou town just before the short climb up to the homestay) which serve tasty Taiwanese dishes at very reasonable prices. There are also some souvenir shops/convenient stores in this Shihjhou town. All in all, our family of 5 had a great two day vacation at the Small Swiss Homestay, thanks to Mr. Charlies Liu and his daughter-in-law who is in charge of the homestay. I highly recommend the Small Swiss and would surely stay there again given the hance
