Pensacola Beach Resort has earned acclaim for its refreshing ocean atmosphere and beautifully decorated spaces, particularly the pool and lobby, which guests find inviting. The hotel boasts clean rooms with comfortable beds and scenic views, although some visitors have noted a lack of amenities such as concierge services and complimentary breakfast.
While the location is celebrated for its convenient beach access and nearby attractions, opinions on value and service are mixed, with criticisms centered on the high rates and inconsistent service. Despite this, the cleanliness of the hotel generally receives high marks.

This is the old Margaritaville Resort that has been upgraded and rebranded (although most maps and Uber drivers don't recognize the new name). The location is on the quiet part of the beach, and rooms either look at the ocean or the bay. The updated lobby is open with lots of windows and is well appointed. The restaurant food was good, but the menu was extremely limited. Area transportation is not provided to local restaurants, so you will need a car, be able to walk, or pay for service. Beach towels and chairs/umbrellas are not provided to guest, and although beach chairs are available to rent, they are very expensive. If or when the resort adds to restaurant menu, offers area transportation and provides hotel guest with beach chairs and towels either free or at a discount, then this will be a true resort on the beach.

Amazing gem! 10/10 recommend this resort. We have stayed at Beach Club Resort for the past 6 years and this was our first stay at Pensacola Beach Resort. We did not miss the full kitchen of a condo. We actually loved NOT having a washer and dryer. This is vacation! Do laundry when you get home. What we loved was the luxury feel of the resort, the staff, the WindRose restaurant that served the best meals of our week. We loved the pool side food service. There are three places on the resort to eat and the inside restaurant is for guest only. I loved that we didn’t need a reservation but had food that was as good as The Grand Marlin. We ended up eating dinner there three nights. The resort is well staffed and housekeeping did an amazing job with daily fresh towels, mats, and linen change if requested. The executive king suite is worth the upgrade. We had a gulf front room with a balcony that overlooked the beach, pool, and bay. Sunsets were stunning. The beach service was great. You actually feel like you are at a resort with minimal crowd. No fighting over the front row, everyone gets the front row.

We stayed here for one night after leaving another hotel because the rooms had mold and we are very sensitive. We were very happy to have a room with no mold and very clean. The beds were very comfortable, the gulf view balcony rooms have an incredible view right on the beach. It was less busy and quieter than the other hotel we came from which we loved. They allowed us to check in early which was great! Nice fitness area and restaurant. Pool area was not too crowded with plenty of chairs. We loved the feel of this hotel in general and plan to come back for longer next time. They have free covered parking and no resort fees. One suggestion would be to offer premium WiFi with faster speeds.

We had been looking forward to our 7 night stay at this hotel. The things that made this hotel stay seem like a cheap motel are as follows: 1. Bring a step stool to be able to get into the bed!!. We had a king size bed. My husband is 5'11, he had a hard time getting up on the bed because it is so high. I'm 5'5" and had to use the the nightstand to hoist myself onto bed! 2. Floor was sandy when we arrived. Sand was still in the grout. 3. Shower kept going off and on while trying to take a shower every time! We asked a repairman we saw if the water system was being worked on.. he didn't seem to know. This went on for the whole time we stayed there! There was a card in room when we arrived that stated water in room would be shut off at 10 p.m. and sorry for inconvenience. 4. The resteraunt might as well not be there. The menu is the same even if you order from the bar area. It is Bar food! Served on paper plates with plastic utensils. Noone is ever in resteraunt that we could tell. Person at the entrance standing at podium with table number cards and menus looked lonesome. There isn't a breakfast. 5. For the price we paid for 6 nights over 2100.00 you would think there would be help with luggage. None available. 6. T.V. had some sort of cable. There wasn't a guide to tell what the channels were. Not many at that. 7. Furniture in room looked old and was scratched up. 8. No effort made by housekeeping to ask if we needed our room cleaned, more towels or sheets changed. I had to ask after the 3rd day for towels. 2 towels left. Sheets changed after the 4th day. So ridiculous for the price we paid. 9. Balcony floor and chairs had bird droppings everywhere. Anyway, I could go on.. It was so very disappointing to us. If we hadn't rented a car to get around as we had flown in, the stay would have been unbearably boring at this place. The name sells this place, that's all we could say.

We have been going to this resort for years. Since it has changed, the experience was very different. What irritated me the most was the fact that if you ordered anything from the restaurant or the bar, they automatically added an 18% gratuity and didn't tell you about it. Sure, It was on the receipt, but I trust that everything is correct and don't really pay that much attention to it, So I ended up tipping about 40% of every bill. We had grandkids with us and the parents wanted to go out to eat, so I called the front desk to order room service only to find out they don't offer it. I asked what time the restaurant closed to make sure my husband would be able to order food before they closed. They told me 10:00. At 930 my husband called to place an order for food and was told they closed at 9. He was very upset. He had to drive some place to go get something to eat. There were also light bulbs not working in the room and you couldn't call out on the phone. I would expect more paying $400 per night! We will definitely not be back!

Lovely location right on the beach. The hotel is away from the other hotels in PB, so feels a bit more exclusive . Certainly the beach outside the hotel is very quiet compared to the main stretch. It’s about 5 /10 mins walk to the centre of town where most restaurants and shops are.
Hotel is lovely and rooms very large. We found the staff very friendly and helpful.
Having read a few recent reviews I would agree the hotel let’s itself down in a few easy to fix areas:
Bedroom floors were dirty and felt sandy. A number of other reviews have commented on this. We cleaned the floor with a face cloth -see photo!
Daily housekeeping should be the norm now, covid is and old excuse. Most other hotels we’ve stayed at on our road trip provide daily.
The 18% auto service charge on everything food and drink related is not necessary especially as every tab leaves a space for an additional tip! This feels like a money making ploy.
For a $500 a night hotel why is food and drink served on paper plates and plastic cups? Fair enough by the pool but not in the hotel bar/restaurant .
The restaurant food by the way is good but very limited to burger/taco type meals. They’re missing a trick here, a full service restaurant would be very popular.
Beach chairs $50 per day ( plus tip) is ridiculous. There is a borrow box on P2 of the car park , door at rear of hotel.just under reception. This had a few chairs and umbrellas. If not go to Walmart.
Also as no beach towels provided, use pool towels.
Overall a lovely hotel but the experience could/should be better given the premium price.

The Pro's: All of the staff was friendly and check-in was easy. The location as far as how close to the beach can't be beat, literally walk out the door and you are on the beach, However renting 2 chairs and and umbrella on the beach is $17.50 an hour or $50.00 for the day, this seems to be the trend these days with another company running the chair rentals on the beach. The room was nice with a great view of the Gulf, so nice to wake up to this view. The pool was great and nice to relax at, it was clean and 2 beach towels provided at the pool for each guest and a nice view of the beach. The location of the hotel is a short walk to places to eat and the boardwalk, altho many of the shops on the boardwalk are closed or out of business.
The Con's: As others said the King Size bed mattress was literally 3ft off the floor, if you roll over during the night and slip off you better have a parachute on, not something I liked. I don't know what they were but these small flies out by the pool bit the heck out of us, they were like mini horse flys and annoying. No hot tub to relax in. The furniture in the rooms is a bit dated. The restaurant we ate at for breakfast, came out on paper plates and plastic forks and knives, was just okay, and for 2 people ran $50.00, the 18% service charge didn't help. Under gound covered parking space is limited and I did not see any Charging stations for you EV drivers out there.
Overall as far as a place to relax its not bad, but my next trip to Pensacola Beach will be someplace else.

My husband and I had never been to Pensacola Beach and decided to visit a new place for our anniversary. I looked at all the other nearby hotels and one of the main reasons I chose this hotel was because It had a pool bar. Unfortunately it rain three out of the four days we were there. The one sunny day we had, when we sat by the pool, the bar was not opened. We had to order drinks inside. Its not a deal breaker, but it would have been awesome not to get dry & cover up to go inside. Honestly due to this reason we just ended up not ordering that much from the bar. The food at the restaurant was pretty good, but due to the lack of employees, you have to order at the bar then they deliver the food to you at the table. We stayed in one of their king suites with the side deck. It ended up being great since it rained so much, and kept us from feeling trapped in the room. The bed was pretty comfortable as well. Here is my one recommendation, if you drive to this location make sure to bring your own coffee supplies. I bought some K-cups that we like, and our own creamer, sweetener & coffee cups. Also, make sure to bring slippers or socks, as there is no way to prevent sand from being on the floor. The room was clean, but with bare feet you can feel sand here and there. If that would bother you, make sure to wear something on your feet. Overall, all the employees were super nice and helpful, just like every place in the country right now, they seem to be lacking employees.

WORST experience I've ever had at a hotel! My family and I had high hopes upon arrival since the hotel is beautiful. We soon experienced that the beauty of the hotel was our only positive to our trip. For the first 2 out of our 3 night stay we had no hot water. We called the front desk the first night and were told that they were aware that some rooms were having the same issue, but no one was available to address it at night. We were told that their "engineer" would be up first thing in the morning to see what was going on. We waited around the next morning and no one showed up. I let the front desk know around noon that no one had been to the room and they said they would get someone up there soon. I asked to speak to a manager, but I was told that he wasn't available. She took down our information and said that the hotel would be giving a discounted rate to those rooms that were affected. I have no idea if anyone came to the room as we were at the beach all day, but as of the 2nd night we still had no hot water and no follow up from management. It wasn't until the 3rd day that we had hot water. Upon checkout, I asked for a print out of our bill to make sure that our rate had been discounted. It was not noted on our bill so I once again asked to speak to the manager. I was told by Kiara that he was not in yet, but that he would call me as soon as he got in. As expected, I have not received a phone call or a credit to my account. I highly advise you to find somewhere else to stay!

The location is great it is close to the boardwalk and restaurants yet far enough away to be peaceful. While we liked the resort we did have a problem with the lack of service. You have to take out your trash and bag up your dirty towels and text for replacements. Sometimes the text were answered and others they were not met and you had to call down to the main desk to have towels, toilet paper, etc brought to you. If you are staying more than 3 days you can schedule a room cleaning, but being at a beach location you do have a lot of sand in the room. While everyone had a good attitude we did not spend the money that we did for vacation and have to wonder if the text message get through or will we not have clean towels when we get back from the beach. We have stayed at Margaritaville in Gatlinburg during Covid and they would come into your room to replace towels, toilet paper and coffee. And if you were staying more than 4 nights they would automatically come in to change your bedding unless you requested otherwise. This is the level of service we were expecting and were disappointed in what we did receive.
