Fjaerland Fjordstue Hotel was definitely one of the prettiest accommodation that we have stayed at. The only down side (this was already known as Bärd have stated in the email explicitly when we made the booking) was that we had to climb 2 floor up with our luggages through the steep and narrow staircase. Thankfully, Bärd was there and he... More

I was here 1 year ago on my own for dinner, and fell in love with the place and the staff. Now I have a boyfriend and wanted to share this little piece of heaven with him. We had nice breakfast. And we will come back for more.

My husband and I spent 3 glorious nights here. Our room over looked the fjord and even on our one rainy day we enjoyed the views of the glacier from the warm spacious common room. Our room was small but more than enough space and very comfortable. We would return here again.

A little bit out of the way but worth the detour. A small older hotel that's somewhere between a country inn and a bed and breakfast. Occupies a secluded place directly on the fjord with small boats available for rent. Good wifi connection and the absence of TVs in the room add to the sense of tranquility. Definitely worth booking... More

We absolutely loved the Fjærland Fjordstue Hotell. Without a doubt it was the highlight of our entire week in Norway. From the moment Laura checked us in until we checked out, we were made to feel welcome. The common areas overlooking the Fjord were a wonderful place to have lunch and/or drinks (especially the home-made beer!) There was tea and... More

Spent 2 enjoyable nights at the Fjordstue Hotell. The views from the hotel were ever changing and absolutely breathtaking. We stayed in Room 109 with its own balcony, but there's also a wraparound deck with tables and chairs on the first floor and a common area with windows all around. The Glacier Museum is just around the corner, and the... More

We've visited a few times now and loved it so much that we decided to have our wedding at the hotel. We hired the entire hotel for the weekend and all of my friends were very impressed by the standard of rooms, the food, the idyllic setting and the wonderful service provided by Bard and his staff. We were very... More

We walked into the restaurant without reservations after visiting the nearby glacier and glacier museum for lunch. It was terrific experience. The place is homey and unfussy with terrific views of the water (not sure if it is a lake or part of fjord). We all had that day's special which was a roasted lamb salad on greens. It might... More

First, this is a Very Small town with next to no restaurants. The Hotel, while quaint, provided us with a barely acceptable room. It did have a bath, however the shower, toilet and sink are all one room with one floor. Our view was out the back of the hotel, so not real appealing. Be sure to ask for a... More

Stopped by for a quick lunch in between boat rides and loved the food. The homemade beer was spectacular as was the locally made bread. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. I would highly recommend this location for lunch to anyone stopping in town by boat.
