We stayed in Sheldon Barn which is extremely comfortable and very well equipped. Louise and Stephen greeted us as if we were old friends. The surrounding were beautiful and the village pub is all that you expect from a local. We stayed a week and wanted to stay longer.

Much of this review echoes the positive comments made by previous contributors, from which you can draw your own conclusions – needless to say we would return to Sheldon House without hesitation. For walkers Sheldon House’s location in Monyash provides convenient ‘on foot’ access to a range of local walking areas including Lathkill Dale, Deep Dale and the Monsal Way...

This was third year staying at Sheldon House whilst walking the Limestone Way. I have completed this walk for the last eighteen years and Sheldon House is by far the best accommodation we have stayed at. The welcome by Louise and Stephen cannot be faulted even if you arrive well muddy from day in the bad weather. The rooms are...

We have stayed in a number of cottages across the UK but this beats them all. Louise and Stephen were on hand to make us feel very welcome and the cottage lacked for nothing. Very comfortable to stay in and relax in or recover from a great days walking with the dog. Monyash is a lovely little village with endless...

I cannot agree more with other reviews, this is an outstanding B&B. We stayed one night and would highly recommend for longer stays, the hospitality from Louise and Stephen is lovely. Our room and en-suite was spectacularly clean and there was so much attention to detail to make us guests feel welcome and comfortable. Home made shortbread and sweets in...

This is a lovely property in a great location. The cottage is excellently appointed and spotlessly clean. The owners, Louise and Stephen, are most welcoming and obviously take pride in what they do. Very highly recommended.

We have just had a lovely break in this great B&B. From the first meeting with Louise and Stephen, to leaving on Sunday morning, we were made to feel welcome and comfortable in their home. The room had everything we needed and the homemade cakes in our room on both days was a very tasty treat. The house is in...

Stayed for one night whilst walking the Limestone Way. Excellent hospitality and well-equipped, charming room. Probably the best breakfast ever and beautifully presented. I would say home from home except it is much nicer than ours! Excellent pub food in The Bull's Head for an evening meal. Only 40 minutes from our house but we will return soon for a...

We stayed with Louise and Stephen for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed their fabulous hospitality. We were welcomed with some delicious home made shortbread and freshly ground coffee, stayed in a lovely, clean and comfortable room and overall had a great weekend. Louise cooks a magnificent breakfast and on returning to our room the next day there were some more...

Warmly greeted by Louise, Stephen and the dogs. Felt like home from home with the extra bonus of being waited upon. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent room with lots of extras, lovely cake, fresh milk in elegant cool flask, kept in fridge over night, refilled and left outside door in the morning. Bed was comfortable and room decor lovely...
