As a Nicaraguan I am astonished as to how it took me 10 years to find out about this hotel. Please don't waste your time looking at other ones. This hotel has excellent food, beautiful beach views, and the staff is so nice. The beach has small islands you can reach by in canoe, and it is covered in birds,...

Had visited a below par sleeping place before here , what a difference. Admittedly 30mins from airport but worth it. 10 minute drive down a dirt road through the plantation, a long walk back to the road. It was worth it. Right on the lakeside. Excellent, clean rooms ( a bit upmarket really ) Restaurant nearly on the beach, able...

Finca San Juan is a picturesque hotel with comfortable rooms remote in the forest by the beach. The service is very friendly and the staff is bending over backwards to satisfy your needs. The restaurant is good even if the menus is limited. The food is OK but not worth to consider a destination.

This is primarily a plantation business that has aspirations to offer a hotel experience. It has beachfront bungalows on stilts and more basic accommodation as well. The rooms have a rustic quality but without charm as they are looking a bit tired. Location is amazing if you want to stay put or if you have your own transport, otherwise it's...

The rooms are nice, confortable and sealed as much as possible to limit the number of insects coming in which was nice. The restaurant was good but a little pricey. We were told we could rent scouters, motos and ATVs but we have 3 children and the law prohibits being more then 2 on a one. We had to rent...

Stayed at this hotel for two nights. Like other reviews have pointed out, it is far from the main road but, how else would you have such an amazing view of the lake and the Concepcion volcano? The staff needs a little polishing, they are not welcoming, kind of shy. I think the place needs a great manager. Breakfast was...

Omotepe and Lake Nicaragua are a great place to chill out. Finca San Juan is quite isolated so you need transport. We had a cabin on stilts overlooking the lake which was delightful although the couple next door had to move because of an infestation. The breakfast was fine but we thought that the dinner as not of the quality...

Stayed one night Jan 30/17. Very cute rooms, amazing grounds by Lake Nicaragua. Very quiet while there, not too many guests. Offered lovely breakfast w room . Resort is secluded , transportation required if not wanting to just stay at resort. Would definitely stay again

As the place is pretty isolated, you might be tempted to have dinner on site. Big mistake!! We had to wait for 1h15 between we placed our order and food arrived. And then the soup was so bad that we simply did not eat it. When we complained we got told that it was the chef's birhthday and he had...

I have stayed at Finca San Juan 3 times and each time has been a good experience. The resort is nicely designed, clean, and well-appointed with many sitting areas, hammocks, etc. They have a restaurant on site which makes things so convenient too! The staff are very accommodating, and English-speaking, which also makes it easier for foreigners. I asked them...
