Booked in for my wife birthday. Was quoted a price but when we arrived informed have to pay an extra 10,00 ringgit foreigner tax. First morning woke up. No cups for coffee in the rooms. Fascinaties non existent. Pool dirty not maintained. All buildings in different states of ruin. Arrived for breakfast and told no breakfast its a holiday. Restaurant closed the Entire day. The list is exhaustive. Today sworn at by security guard and told this is malaysia I must go back. Cane to get away and for sure the scenery and nature is exceptionally beautiful. But not worth the money at all. Perhaps a few years ago. But time lack of care and poor management has taken a severe toll on the beautiful place.

Such a pity that a scenic place being neglected with almost zero maintenance. With better management this place can be marketed as a peace and quiet retreat. The scenery is great but the facility is almost totally wrecked by nature for lack of maintenance.

The Delima chalets are a great quiet getaway from the city. Bed and rooms are generally clean and air cond is cold. Most importantly rooms are fairly clean considering the surrounding nature. Free wifi is only at reception lobby but not to chalet. If you expect to get some work done then Maxis 4G speed is good though - 25mbps, Umobile was about 3mbps. Kitchen was closed so meals meant a trip to Batu Gajah or Pusing where there are surprisingly good range of food. There's a nice RM2 shop in town to explore to stock up some snacks if needed. -- Overall, its a great place if its nature type of rest, light walking, jogging or golf that you seek. The view in the morning overlooking is great - calm and tranquil. While driving in you might occasionally stumble across monitor lizard crossing the road. If you're expecting to use other facilities such as swimming pool, tennis courts or cycling or park then you will be greatly disappointed. Probably not a great place to bring kids expecting possible side activities too.

Clearwaters Sanctuary used to be a beautiful family club just a short drive away from Ipoh City with lush greenery surrounded by beautiful lakes and a swimming pool where one could spend an entire afternoon there. But that was before 2010. The first thing I notice upon driving into the club, the sides of the driveway were full of wild grass, plastic bags around the surrounding, and fallen leaves and branches by the road sides. The place has not been looked after. Even the shades at the car park area is damaged and unkept. Upon taking a drive to one of my former favourite spots at Clearwaters, I find that the pool has just been as badly neglected as the other parts of the club. The pool has leaves in and on the waters, the filters don't appear to be working making the water look slimy. There were no life guards or staff operating the pool of keeping it clean. The shades on the tennis courts are all torn and the tennis courts are all covered by sand and dirt making it an eyesore. Can't help but feel sad that this once beautiful golf club is just living on its former glory and now left to rot with the club management not doing anything about it. If you are planning on a scenic and relaxing weekend out of town, I would suggest that you look for a different place.

Been here for leisure retreat with family during Christmas week. The rooms are in OK generally and some area need a little work. The staff are polite and friendly. We went bicycling, enjoy the swimming pool and gym. Overall, this place is good for fishing, painter (artist) and those who just want quiet ambience and serene environment away from the city hustle and bustle. Or for those who likes Golfing, the golf resort has 16 holes near or with water flowing in between the course.

Used to visit this place quite a number of times. The rooms are in need of a little work. The staff are polite and friendly. With a group of friends we enjoyed leisure fishing and boating. They have since stopped boating "temperory" not sure why but. Was sad to see the kayaks rotting away being unused. I have called and ask when would boating be available again they couldn't give an answer.

I've always like this place, the chaletis spacious. The lakes are beautiful. However one can't deny that the resort is in rough shape and needed quite a bit of work, lots of delayed maintenance especially the balconies and piping (you can see traces of water leakage on the ceiling). Give the rooms some kind of facelift to bring some coziness to the atmosphere. If you like nature, this is the place to be.
