Wooden Cabbage House is a wonderful place, you can enjoy fresh air and see beautiful flowers and dream in quiet. And if you are foreign people, you need to arrange the car for the trip in advance, because you can not find public transportation there.

Very warm genuine welcome followed by tea served on the terrace gazing across the fields. Beautiful house and gardens and attentive hosts. Home made granola for breakfast with rhubarb from the garden - superb !

A four night stay provided my wife and me with a relaxed and welcoming opportunity to explore some of the beauty of Dorset. Upon our arrival we were welcomed by Martyn and made to feel 'at home' with refreshment served in the garden with the sun shining after a rather wet journey from Hertfordshire. The Cream bedroom allocated to us... More

This was a one-night stop-over for me and my daughter whilst we were visiting Dorset for the week-end. I mention this to emphasise the fact that we were given the highest regard from the moment we arrived until we departed. On arrival, Martyn welcomed us before we had actually alighted from our car. Help was at hand with taking our... More

Wooden Cabbage is a wonderful place to stay, we stayed for one night on a weekend away in Dorset. What a find! Tranquil and a beautiful location. Martyn and Susie were excellent hosts, from the welcome, the tea in the conservatory, a tour of the garden, recommendation for an excellent evening meal at a local pub. The breakfast was just... We had a great stay for 6 nights. Martyn and Susie were terrific hosts - helpful, thoughtful and served lovely breakfasts. Excellent guidance about walks and, particularly, places to eat! The only reason not to give 5* was the difficulty of getting a perfect combination of room, shower and bath. But that is being very picky - the rooms were... More

Visited 3 years ago and we still love this place. Susie and Martyn are very welcoming. I have a particularly fond spot for Susie who is just really lovely. Their house is wonderful and in a beautiful setting overlooking a valley. The rooms are nice with extremely comfortable beds. TVs could be a little bigger but maybe that's just me... More

We felt very warmly welcomed into the home of Martyn and Susie. They were attentive to all our needs and their home, as well as being beautiful, was a restful, peaceful place to stay for an enjoyable weekend. Our room had a splendid view across rolling hills and stunning scenery. The breakfasts were magnificent and we were only sorry that... More
