The accommodations were lovely, overlooking the water. Charlie and Maxine were chatty and hospitable. The breakfast was superior. Location was close to the touristy sites of Ferryland: Baltimore Colony, the lighthouse and The Lighthouse Lunch. Our weather was not so nice, but we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless. It was our first stop on the Irish Loop, which was lovely as well.

Imagine staying in a room overlooking not just the ocean, whales, and seabirds, but also one of the oldest English settlements in North America. The active archeological dig was visible from our room, while gannets dove for fish and whales surfaced. The sense of 400 years of European history is almost palpable. The Colony of Avalon is a wonderful site...

Dunn's B&B is a terrific spot on the Irish Loop. A very nice drive (about an hour or so) from the airport. Charlie and Colleen know the area extremely well. Charlie built the B&B a few years ago so it is very new and clean. There is a view of The bay from every window and the East Coast trail...

Right on Route 10, close to the historic Colony of Avalon, the Ferryland lighthouse, and hiking trails. Also close to the "southern shore dinner theatre" which we enjoyed. Very nice room, and good, hot breakfast. No whales in August - go in June/July if you want to see whales or icebergs

Arriving late in the evening, a friend and I were greeted by Charlie and Maxine and quickly shown our rooms. Charlie and Maxine pointed the way to the nearby grocery store and we bought a bottle of wine and returned to chat with our hosts and other guests. Both hosts were knowledgeable about the area and regaled us with stories...

A friend and I recently stayed two nights at Dunne's B&B. Maxine and Charlie are fantastic hosts. They were outgoing, fun, and helpful. The B&B is right on the Atlantic, so the view out the windows is always stunning. They made suggestions for outings and restaurants as well information about the East Coast Trail. Our rooms were very comfortable and...

Purpose-designed B&B, with large common area for dining, relaxing. Very friendly (and musical) hosts, made us feel very welcome. Relatively small (but adequate) rooms, offset by great view over harbour. No air conditioning, unfortunately, and the weather was very warm while we were there. More-than-ample breakfasts. Good parking.

Beautiful building, stunning views, welcoming hosts, best breakfast I had the whole trip. Room was so nicely appointed, with wineglasses on the windowsill, that we wished we had a nice bottle of wine - and were immediately directed by owner to a place just down the syreet where we got one! Had brought food with us which owner let us...

We recently stayed for a night in Ferryland and stayed at the Dunne's B&B due to its close proximity to the theatre. We were rewarded with an bonus touch of local entertainment to top off our wonderful breakfast. Maxine had chatted to us the day of our arrival about some of the local history, especially related to her family, and...
