We arrived at the hotel last Friday evening after travelling form Yorkshire for a family wedding weekend We were greeted by Linda who was very very friendly and welcoming. After looking round our room and unpacking our case, we were disappointed to find crumbs in the empty bedside drawer. The room itself was a beautiful room and very comfortable, unfortunately...

Firstly we booked bridal suite as it came with a jacuzzi! Imagine my surprise no jacuzzi but a roll top bath! Broken plug socket, bulbs blown. Not really worth the £125 we paid actually in advance before we had even been shown our room! Standard practise I was assured! Slept well! Breakfast- last time it was freshly cooked thus time...

Thank you taking the time to post a review, I am sorry you were disappointed by your stay. We are currently undergoing a process of refurbishment and the comments you made during your stay were helpful in identifying areas which need attention. We actually have 2 Bridal Suites, one of which as you rightly say has a jacuzzi bath, the...

Greeting & warm welcome upon arrival in reception was great. We were quickly shown to room & informed of breakfast times . Initial impression of room was that it was smaller & more cluttered than our previous room on a previous stay . The bamboo conservatory sofa & the rather large coffee table are extraneous & could do with being...

Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review. I am sorry to hear you did not care for the Marigold room. As you will be aware all our bedrooms are unique and many of our regular guests have distinct favourites that they request when booking. It sounds as if on your previous stay you stayed in...

The Country Cottage is a collection of older houses converted into an hotel with individual character for each room. No two are the same but they all have very good facilities and the hotel has a good restaurant and bar. The rooms are comfortable and the meals are excellent.

My wife and I went to visit friends in Ruddington and stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The room was spacious and warm with complimentary tea and biscuits. The staff were very pleasant and friendly and the full English breakfasts were very good. Other breakfasts were available. Nice place and when we are back in Ruddington we would stay...

Super lunch last Sunday. Great staff. Hope to re-visit again...soon! 😊 The menu choice was excellent; it's rare to be offered fish on a Sunday. I had the salmon and my partner had the turkey dinner. We both enjoyed our main course which included an excellent selection of vegetables.

Our wedding day was better than we could possibly ever have imagined! From our youngest guest to our eldest, all had a wonderful day. Food was lovely, nothing too much trouble for the staff - a fantastic day!

Visited twice this month. Firstly we stayed over for my birthday. We ate in the restaurant and had a beautiful Sunday lunch. The service was quick and staff very polite. The soup was clearly home made and the tables set lovely. I love the country cottage feel throughout the hotel. No complaints with the roast beef dinner. The Yorkshire pudding...

We went to visit our son in Nottingham and stayed in country cottage hotel. We drove four hours to arrive at CCH. Hotel is not very well signposted. We waited at the reception for a while and then received by a very unwelcoming receptionist. She made me worry for the car park when we return after dinner. Rest of the...
