I thought long and hard before writing this review. This was our first visit to Rarotonga and I must say that my first impression is tainted based on our stay at the Rarotongan resort. We arrived to check in at approx 3am and were greeted by friendly staff in the lobby. We were presented with a room charge within the...

The Rarotongan is pretty tired, but so what? It has everything you need for a great cheap resort holiday. If they muck things up a bit, they sort you out well with free lunches and credits for mucking you about. Loads of free kayaks and although the kids club indoor facilities are not great, the family activities are. My daughter...

Location perfect, roll out of bed, head to breakfast of fruits, cereals, the freshest pastries I have ever tasted (and I don't usually eat pastries) - beautiful, their pastry chef is something special, lots water. Then off to the beach to attempt to stand on the paddle board :( or kayak or snorkel, then lay on the outdoor lounger to...

My Christmas present to my husband! Our room had a sea view straight onto the white sand beach. A swim before breakfast in the clear turquoise water was the first thing to do in the morning. We felt as if we were in a luxurious grass hut! Very comfortable bed, a/c, fan, everything one could wish for. The breakfast was...

It wasn't a perfect stay but we left extremely pleased we chose The Rarotongan. We booked around 10 months in advance requesting room 208 based on reviews on tripadvisor. We were told that was fine and I confirmed a number of times. We arrived at the Resort early in the morning (1:30am) and I told myself if we don't get...

Loved the complex, but there are areas for improvement. Front desk girls need to be up skilled. They often seem stressed, hardly smile and often can't perform basic tasks. They tell you to return when the manager is back. My spa booking didn't get booked properly. Therefore, I had to come back another day. Bar service is terrible. Often standing...

Having visited Rarotonga multiple times, this resort would be my first choice purely based on its location on the beach. Whilst it can quite shallow, you will struggle to find marine life and water clarity as good as this anywhere in the world. Plus the fact that you can practically have the beach to yourself so can always grab a...

We stayed at the Rarotongan beach resort early November 2016. We booked a beachside suite for 3 adults. From arrival until departure we found the staff to be friendly engaging and efficient at all times. We were greeted at reception with a lovely refreshing welcome drink and check in was fast and efficient. The resort has obviously been rebuilt and...

o Kia Orana cooks1957 Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. A lot of people don’t realise our adults-only sister resort, Sanctuary Rarotonga-on the beach is conveniently located right next door to The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Spa, and that Sanctuary guests can use all of the facilities at The Rarotongan as well. As you say, it’s great for...

All I can say is that they ruined our holiday and wedding that we had saved so long for... there was a group of approx 30 of us including 12 children aged from 1.5 years to 16 years. From the moment we got there every thing was wrong... the reservation staff had overbooked the resort (they apparently have now been...
