I have recently stayed for five nights at this guest house. The proprietors, Holly and David are friendly, thoughtful, helpful and welcoming. Each morning, for breakfast, there was different fresh fruit available, including strawberries, cherry's, mixed fruit etc.and yoghurt. There was also home made bread and a variety of home made jams and marmalade. This was followed by a cooked...

Very nice place with great views and friendly staff, only dissapointment was the lack of en-suite (although we dids have our own bathroom), and the fact that they'd run out of eggs for breakfast. We'd always recommend staying on the Kingswear side of the river as it's quieter.

Booked a 2 night stay with spouse with a Fab Fish course on 2nd day. Checked in to be greeted by owners and 2 whippets - one of whom is quite lively which might not be to everyone's taste as a first impression. Rooms are comfortable and clean - lovely views towards Dart Valley, nice firm bed and good bed...

V. friendly B & B, great location in Kingswear, amazing breakfasts and importantly for me a spotless bathroom! Over and above that Holly and David are passionate about offering high quality, locally sourced food, thereby supporting local Devon businesses.

The Dartmouth area is just delightful at any time but having a great base is essential. Fir Mount B&B was just excellent for us - very comfortable and VERY welcoming. The owners are superb bakers and chefs - they actually supply many local shops with their fine foods and they run cooking classes. In fact, we really want to go...

I stayed 2 nights at Fir Mount. A perfect location at the top end of Kingswear and an easy 'roll down the hill' to the Estuary and ferries across to Dartmouth. A warm welcome and, unlike most bed and breakfasts and immediate feeling of being part of the family. A relaxed breakfast at the big kitchen table with plenty of...

Fir Mount House is just what I needed. Adjacent to two quiet roads that run into Kingswear, one going up the hill for stunning views and walks, and the other going down to the river and ferry, the house is situated on a leafy hill side. The owners, David and Holly Jones, are a charming couple in their 40’s whose...

I had forgotten how good Devon looks in the Spring. But I remembered the low quality of Devon's nasty old B&B's. David and Holly's does not really fit within the B&B category at all. The quality of the welcome and the basic comfort and hygiene is well above average. The feel is more like staying at a friend's house than...

Fir Mount House is perched on a precipitous bank looking out over the Dart towards Dartmouth, with a quiet road on each side. I stayed twice, in two different rooms. The larger one was heavenly - big, a huge double bed instead of the normal tiny one you get in most B and Bs, high quality sheets and duvet, a...

We stayed for just the one night in August. Upon arriving we we welcomed by David (the owner) who was polite and showed us to our rooms (1 attic room which was very cramped and had no wardrobe or TV and also no tea-making facilities -needed updating!) and 1 double room which had cobwebs, dead insects around the window although...
