Before we booked this hotel, we looked at the reviews and did some research. The general comments seemed positive. The photos online also looked good. When we arrived, our first impressions were that the hotel was very dated and poor quality. It was built in 1993 and parts appear to have been refurbished in 2011, decoration, 'modern' led lights, lift... More

Stayed at the Orion hotel for the first week in July. We are regular visitors to Altinkum although this was our first visit to the Orion and first time staying near the second beach area. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, possibly the best we have experienced in Altinkum. The rooms are basic but of a good size and... More

We visited this hotel last year and were confident enough to book a return visit a year later. We had a side sea view room on the fourth floor looking towards Altinkum across the bay. The room was clean and well furnished with a small balcony just big enough for two to sit on. The decoration had been recently updated... More

It's in a lovely location, clean rooms and just a stone's throw away from the sea. The staff are really friendly and happy to help. The view from our room was amazing, it's a lovely walk to reach the bars and centre if unable to walk the dolmus (bus) run every few minutes that stops just outside the hotel. Food... More

“There are six floors and the higher up the better. Sea view rooms are more expensive but side sea views are cheaper and have plenty to look out on. There are two lifts so rarely a wait for one but you should use the stairs if able to compensate for laying about on the beach all day.”
