Guest house is located in an old building and it's designed in an old style as well. It's clean. And these are the only adventages. Building is old, so you can hear every whisper of your neighbours. And also private bathroom doesn't mean it's bathroom inside your room, so you need to go outside to take a bath - sorry....

Dear Madam, We are of course very disappointed at your negative review. I am afraid that when choosing The Burrow you chose wrongly for the following reasons: You chose a room with private external bathroom and this was clear from the onset. You could have chosen an en-suite if this suited your requirements better. We are proud of our breakfast...

Our stay at The Burrow was delightful. We stayed in the Suite which was lovely. The room and bathroom was clean, but could use a daily sweep & mop (please don't the staff does not attend to your room daily unless requested). We drove ourselves and didn't have any difficulty finding the location on our GPS (Google Maps), but occasionally...

Loved this place. We had the suite - four poster bed and other gorgeous period furniture. Lots of room if you are travelling with a baby or children. Really reasonably priced accommodation, especially when you see how gorgeous the building is. Very secure too with two swipe-card entries as well as key to room. Breakfast was delicious - loved the...

We booked three nights at The Burrow to add a few extra days to a family holiday, just my partner and I. The Burrow can be tricky to find, and the Tarxien one-way system takes a bit of getting used to, but once you're there, it's a great place to stay. Chiara welcomed us in and helped us to our...

A one night stay which in all honesty was not much more than a bedding down as we arrived late and flew off early. Big stone walled room with loads of character but perhaps a little bit over the top with ornamentation. Great to look at but a bit difficult to get round. I'm thankful that I was not there...

My husband and I recently stayed at The Burrow in Tarxien. It was absolutely brilliant, it's stunning and the lady that runs it is so friendly and helpful. We really had a brilliant time and already miss those delicious continental breakfasts!

We stayed here as a cheeky extra day in Malta and it didn't disappoint!! Where to start? Chiara, our host, is a lovely lady - very friendly (in the nicest way, no saccharine gushing here!) and went out of her way to accommodate our arrival, delayed tho it was by the driver from our previous 5* accommodation! The building itself...

Pros: incredibly charming 400 year old fully restored building. Comfy bed, clean sheets, air con. Oozing historical charm. Our stay was great. Cons: booked this hotel for one night because it was the closest we found to the airport. Booked a taxi to the airport when we checked in. Taxi was supposed to come at 0530am. Taxi never shows. Tried...

A very good Guesthouse. The owner has a great taste in decoration. I stayed only one night since I was diving on Gozo bur my flight left very early so I needed a place to stay close to the airport. I don't regret staying at the Burrow. Very friendly and easygoing.

We chose this place with no knowledge of Malta except that we wanted to be away from the tourist-pack area (Sliema, Saint Julien, etc.) yet close to La Valetta. Very happy with our choice. 4 century old house renovated for comfort and beauty. The neighborhood, close to the Tarxien Temples and the Hypogeum, keeps the flavor of older Malta, with...
