Lovely old house with sympathetic, simple, contemporary décor. Clean. Comfortable bed. Friendly, helpful owners. Really good, local produce, buffet breakfast (my husband missed the opportunity of a fried egg though). Very good beverage tray in bedroom. Jar of flapjacks and Brownies! In pretty, old Bruton.

Our group of 11 ladies stayed at Oak House for a hen party. Right from the beginning, the owner Denise helped with planning our stay to make it perfect for us and to fit in with our activity schedule. The size of our group meant we had the B&B to ourselves which was wonderful. We were able to use the...

An excellent B&B close to Bruton's shops and places to eat. We stayed in a comfortable double room with an additional bed for our 3 year old daughter. Oak house is very welcoming and child friendly. There is a separate entry door for guests so you can come and go as you please and there is also a comfortable lounge...

Denise took care of me from the moment I called to make the reservation to the moment I left. I had never been to Somerset and I could only stay for one night. Arriving in the afternoon, I let myself in and was so relieved and happy to have such a beautiful room with everything in the right place. I...

I stayed at the Oak House whilst on interview at a local school. I spent two nights here. It was without doubt one of the best b&bs I have stayed in. The rooms are spotlessly clean with modern fixtures and fittings. The attention to detail is outstanding. The owners (Martin and Denise) pride themselves on bringing the finest aspects of...

My husband and I returned to Bruton a little under 18 months after getting married there, and we again stayed at The Oak House. It was really nice to go back and to spend time in the beautiful hotel together. It was particularly nice to enjoy an amazing breakfast spread the morning after our stay, as the last time I...

The hosts here made me feel extremely at ease. Nothing was too much trouble, the room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. There is plenty of parking and the selection of products for a continental breakfast was amazing. Definitely worth another visit when I am next in the area.

We were in Bruton (a town I knew well) for a sad reason. Despite this the hosts made us very welcome and a our three night stay was very comfortable. We had a lovely welcome and were shown around (bit of a challenge finding the entrance door - not helped by me remembering it as the Royal Oak pub). The...

The oak house is an old building that has been fitted out beautifully. Our room was comfortable and spacious with large bathroom. We were able to access the room before going walking which was great. Fabulous breakfast but continental style so don't expect a cooked one.

Interesting little B&B . All about the rooms that are ok and clean . Having said that the room allocated to me ( Chapel ) had the smallest corner shower cubical I have ever seen . If you are on the larger side don't expect to be able to use it . The extractor fan was also very loud indeed...

We have five guest rooms and during your stay with us, all of them were booked and used. We find that most guests enjoy a level of privacy and quiet and find that our keypad entry system works well in enabling guests to come and go as they please during their stay and allows them to arrive whenever suits them....
