Wow, as a disabled person in a wheelchair I was amazed at how spacious and comfortable the room was, especially the walk-in wet room and the staff room amazing they could not do enough for us a special mention for Emma who went far beyond what we expected from any member of staff to help us it's in a good location and the restaurant next door has amazing food and again excellent staff I thoroughly recommend this hotel

We stayed at this Premier Inn as an overnight stay following attending a funeral and we are pleased to say that we had a very comfortable clean quiet room just what we needed after a sad occasion. The staff were very helpful and very friendly allowing us access to our room an hour earlier because of the timing of the funeral. Please note however that there is a future plan to introduce a tariff for this service. We had dinner in the evening and breakfast in the morning at the Table Table restaurant next to the hotel and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Again the staff were very friendly and efficient. I’m originally from Cwmbran and would be quite happy to stay here again for any future visits.

Great location for what we needed, staff were friendly and helpful, beds were comfortable and shower was good. It's a shame there was a very strong damp/mould smell in the bathroom, we needed to keep the door shut because of this, however there were no visible signs of mould.

The booking made was for a twin room and we realised on arrival only the double was made up, the staff came to make up the single bed straight away when we let them know.

The train tracks were behind the hotel, but this didn't interrupt our sleep.

We made use of the meal deals at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner - there was a good selection of meals at reasonable price, service in the restaurant was great, food was great.

A very pleasant 2 night stay in Premier Inn Cymbran. 2 adults and 2 children sharing a family room. Excellent, friendly welcome from the member of staff on reception who also solved 2 small issues that we raised very quickly and efficiently. Room was slightly smaller than we had hoped it would be for a family room. However, the room was cosy and warm, the beds were very comfortable, the room was clean and we heard very little noise coming from other rooms in the hotel. Bathroom was very good although the lack of a slip mat in the slightly slippy shower was a slight issue. WiFi was free which was very good although it was not always reliable. Having the restaurant attached to the Premier Inn was a huge benefit to us. This restaurant was superb. It was cosy, spacious and had a great atmosphere. We had 2 breakfasts and 2 evening meals in there. On all 4 occasions, the food was superb, the choice was extensive and the service from the staff was superb. Checkout on the morning of departure was very easy and not needing to leave until 12 noon meant we didn't need to rush. All in all a great stay and i would recommend this hotel to anyone else wishing or needing to stay in this area.

The room was lovely and clean and was quite quiet. It was lovely and warm and pillows very comfy. A great location with only a short drive into the surrounding towns/cities and great amenities on the door step such as McDonald's and a Fuel Station.

The staff were exceptional, providing extra towels when asked and gave the impression that nothing was a problem. Great customer service and I will definitely be back to stay again, and I would definitely recommend this Premier Inn to my friends and family.

We frequently travel to Cwmbran to visit family and always choose to stay at the Premier Inn. The staff there are warm and friendly and we are always greeted with a smile. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the dedicated staff are attentive and go out of their way to ensure we have a pleasant stay. Huge thanks to Tanya and her team, we hugely appreciate your efforts.

We normally choose the Premier Inn Hotels for their consistency. Having stayed in quite a few over the years, I feel the overall standard has dropped a little. It now seems to be dependent on what geographical area you are staying in.

Cleanliness of the entrance to reception needed attention. There were two bath towels but only one hand towel for a double room. Only one Coffee/Tea sachet each so you had to decide if you drink coffee on arrival, last thing at night or first thing in the morning. It was only on checking out that we were told we could have asked for more. This should have been mentioned on arrival.
The TV in the room didn’t receive a programme signal. After changing the input settings on the remote control, it finally worked. This should be one of the checks when housekeeping gives the room back to reception as being ready for occupancy.

The Service in the adjoining restaurant needed much to be desired. Our main meals took a long time to arrive. One was sent back because it was wrong. Our deserts were ok but again, we had a long wait. As for the after-dinner drinks, we waited so long that we had to go to the bar to ask where they were. We were told that the ticketing system had gone down, and staff had not noticed that order tickets were not being printed.

Although taking breakfast the following day towards the end of the given time period, it was fresh and arrived promptly.

Hotel was your normal standard hotel. Extra pillows available in rooms and tea and coffee facilities in each room. Shower is over bath and can be fierce when you first turn it on, so certainly beware it can change fast. Tv available in each bedroom sometimes bbc 1 does freeze momentarily. Also lovely Table Table Restaurant next door which serves a good variety of meals and where you can get breakfast from the next day.

The room we had on the second floor was cool on arrival and it stayed cool during our stay. The receptionist did say if we had told them earlier they could have sourced a heater for us. Which might have been ok, but as we wouldn't have left it on during the day, we would have still had the same problem and it wouldn't have heated the bathroom, as our towels never got fully dry. The corridor was also cool, unlike the ground floor and reception which was lovely and warm.

The room was clean, but very dull, which is a common complaint with hotels. As there were two of us, only one bath and hand towel was in the room. The receptionist did get us another set.

The car park needs to have the disable bays repainted as they are very faint and near impossible to see in the dark. It wasn't helped that the disable bay area was covered in mud, not what you want getting out of the car and having to navigate the mud.

Breakfast at the Ashbridge was ok, but it can get busy as the cereals, bread and toasters are in the same area, so if people are queuing for toast, then you cannot get to the cereals easily. Christmas morning breakfast for the hotel guest was available, but only until 9am, due to getting ready to serve dinner. Staff were lovely and cannot comment on the cooked breakfast as we stuck with the continental.

This hotel is fine if you just want a room and the staff friendly and helpful. The reason for three stars was the cool room and muddy, unpainted disable car park area.

Cosy bed in a well maintained room. We stayed here while attending a funeral and the adjoining Pub was where we all met after the service so very handy. No food available at the hotel except out of a vending machine and hot drink facilities available in the rooms. The Ashbrook Pub on the same site was the place to go for breakfast and other meals or drinks during the day and evening. Stripe Key cards were a bit of a bind and staff had to assist on several occasions.

Hi Rdstuhldreer Thanks for your query. We don't allow pets with the exception of assistance dogs, so this shouldn't be a problem. We would just ask that you inform the team prior to arrival, you can call them on 0333 777 4636 (option # for Reception). The train station is about a mile away from the hotel, so would take around 20 minutes to walk. Cwmbran Stadium is about 2.2 miles away, so would be about a 40 minute walk from the hotel. The team would be happy to advise on public transport or arrange a taxi if needed. Hope this helps. Regards Amy Thacker Premier Inn Team
