Detailed Reviews
We enjoyed two nights in this gated home away from home. We were greeted at the gate by Gaston and his walking door bell Griffin.
Griffin is a friendly dog that announced our arrival the first time we entered, but then realized that we were part of his family and never announced our returns.
The entrances to the rooms are very secluded in the gardens and the tropical flora.
The swimming pool located in the middle of the gardens was very clean and well tended.
Breakfast is available ( at additional cost) served at the tables located beside the pool. There are several items available on the breakfast menu.
Gaston prepared a wonderful cheese and onion omelet served with toast, crosants and jam served to us by the very pleasant Ruby.
We were able to walk to downtown from this location and felt safe doing so
We would certainly stay here again when we return to Aruba.

We stayed at Wonders for three glorious nights and would go back to Aruba just to stay at Wonders!! The rooms are lovely and unique, each with its own patio or balcony. They are large and roomy. The grounds are like an oasis. We chose this hotel, because of the reviews and the ambiance (from photos we saw), although it was not on the beach, and were not disappointed.
Getting around was easy; taxis were readily available. They charge according to location rather than on a meter. If you are planning on staying awhile and traveling around the island, consider renting a car because taxi fares start adding up. However, you should have a good GPS!
We had breakfast every day at the hotel and it was sensational and enormous!
They do not serve dinner but have a notebook in the room listing local restaurants (about a 15 minute walk and the island is very safe), as well as local sights. We ran into one snag with eating - due to the pandemic, a new 9pm curfew was initiated on a day we had spent at the beach and went for a late dinner. Unfortunately, not only was no one serving dinner but if any of us (visitors, residents) out after 10 pm we would be fined. So be sure to check daily on any curfew changes.
Gaston, the owner of Wonders, made us feel completely at home. He even brought Lex, the resident cat, out to say good-bye to us! He has snorkel gear and beach chairs available for free (just clean and return), and directed us to the better snorkeling beaches nearby (we went to Arashi, north and near the lighthouse, for spectacular snorkeling).
Wonders Boutique Hotel is a gem and a sensational spot for a relaxing and wonderful visit to Aruba.

The manager here thought of everything! He has sunscreen and scuba gear out for guests in the common area, as well as wine, beer, soda, and snacks (reasonable price). There is a softly lit living room where you can hook up to WiFi or read his beautiful travel books, and there is a resident gentle dog for those missing their creatures at home. The rooms are quiet and beautifully decorated. The pool is a beautiful haven adorned with native plants and trees. I slept better here than I have in weeks. Wonders is close to anywhere on the island you'd want to go. We will definitely stay here again! Thanks, Gaston!

Very nice boutique style place to stay in Aruba. It is like a hidden oasis very close to the main downtown/marina area, but just away enough to be nice and quiet. Lushly landscaped with little private areas near most of the rooms around the refreshing pool area. This is not on a beach, however, the host will arrange to run you over each morning to nearby Eagle and/or Palm beaches which are some of the nicest on the island, especially Eagle, with its iconic Divi tree. You have to get your photo with the tree. Very reasonable rates and you must add on the breakfast each day unless you have an early morning excursion, even then they usually start breakfast early. You are served at your own little table and depending on where your room is located, it can be like a private breakfast. there are several options and each one will fill you up till dinner. a definite bargain and time saver to eat up in the am. Great place to make your home base for your vacation in Aruba. you can taxi anywhere and it is a short walk back and forth to town for walking off that big dinner you just ate. We were there in early June and it was very pleasant to walk around at night. there is always a breeze blowing in from the northeast, its just a matter of how strong it is.
So if you do not have to stay on the beach with its noise and (depending on where you go) hoards of travelers, this place is hands down a great location. The rooms were well appointed, clean and comfortable. The host, Gaston, will bend over backwards to assist and accommodate. You feel that you get personal attention. Staff as a whole were very nice and knowledgable when asked questions about their lovely island home. You won't be disappointed.

It's hard to know where to start with Wonders Boutique, but I think the title gives you an idea of how I feel about this gem of a hotel in Aruba. From the moment I stepped on property, I felt at home, and I was welcomed like family.
It's a beautiful property and well maintained. The rooms are spotlessly clean, unique, comfortable, and steps away from the pool.
As mentioned in other reviews, it is in a residential neighborhood but that's one of the reasons it was perfect for me. I wanted peace and quiet so that I could write in a beautiful location, and Wonders delivered. I was able to work, write, and never felt like I was in anyone's way or they were in mine.
The art work in the rooms and on the property... Stopped me in my tracks. So very colorful and unique.
Gaston, the host, feels like the Uncle you never knew you needed. He is so very kind, helpful, attentive, and will help with whatever it is you need. He offers rides to the beach daily, beach bags, or assists with renting a car. I had to shorten my stay for personal reasons, and it was very difficult to leave. I almost cried and that has never happened before.
Even though the property is only 11 rooms - you will never, ever feel on top of other guests. Each area is spaced perfectly.
I just checked out today for another location, and I miss it very much already. I will absolutely go back again.

This beautiful garden oasis in the Caribbean that we got to call home for more than a week was such a blast. Not only was the price perfect but despite how nice the pictures are on here - in person its an even more beautiful establishment. Lush gardens, exotic beautiful birds, relaxing ambiance and so quiet! Prior to arriving to the Island, Gaston the head of Wonders checked in with us to ensure our visit would be a good one, provided insight on how he and his team were compliant with COVID-19 safety precautions/protocols and even arranged a car to pick us up from the airport. When we arrived we were greeted and introductions delivered. Breakfast was delicious every morning and the refrigerator stay stocked with beverages all the time so we were always satiated. There were also snacks available. Gaston provided a free beach shuttle which would run in the mornings after breakfast and even took us to nearby places without additional charge. It was also easy to order a taxi to and from Wonders and I loved how secure it was. The property has a gate which visitors are given a key to ensure privacy and security which we appreciated. The staff was always available when we needed anything additional. Even the 2 cats that lived on site were so sweet and sociable. The common areas were clean and my favorite part of Wonders was the garden and pool area which was always pristine and picturesque; I had many photoshoots out there during my stay! The other visitors were quite friendly and respectful as well. Some of them were return visitors and gave us recommendations on places to visit while on the island. Our room was cleaned daily to perfection by the time we finished breakfast which was highly appreciated. Gaston also provided us with recommendations on good places for meals, attractions as well as a ride to the airport when it was time for us to head home. Superb hospitality from the Wonders team has me recommending them to my friends and family who want to visit Aruba. We loved our time being hosted by such an amazing team. What a great close to 2021 and beginning to 2022! Thank you Gaston and Wonders! Best wishes to you all in the new year and the future!

It took us a few attempts but we finally were able to stay at Wonders boutique hotel.
This was our 4th visit to Aruba and probably the most pleasant one.
Wonders is located in a normal Oranjestad residential neighborhood, a 15 min easy walk from the town center. Gaston had arranged for us to be picked up from the airport, we just paid a modest fee to the driver.
Gaston offers every day a free ride to one of the 2 main beaches (Palm beach and Eagle beach). We made use of that one day, but for the remaining of the week we rented a simple car (which is all you need on a small island) to explore the island.
Breakfast is served every day, you just need to give heads up the evening before so the tables will be set up. Very enjoyable in the backyard/swimming pool area.
When we stayed there, the hotel was fully booked (11 rooms) and you would have no idea that all rooms are occupied. It remained quiet and it never felt busy.
The rooms are simple but comfortable. The service is top notch. You will not regret staying here.

No surprise this hotel keeps getting 5 stars! It's perfect. The intimate setting feels more like you have rented the whole place to yourself. The grounds are lush, tropical with palm trees and a beautiful pool. It's set up in a residential area about 10mn walk to Oranjestad downtown. The place is gated, including a gated parking if you rent a car. We stayed for 5 nights in room 9 which was actually a separate building with a nice terrace in front. The room was spacious, bathroom with walk in shower was huge. The bed was extremely comfy and to my surprise even the pillows were so comfy. The AC worked well and if you would like to make yourself a quick snack or dinner it also comes with a nice kitchenette with pot and pans included. The hotel provides beach towels each morning freshly washed and ready by the door (that was so nice). They provide transportation to local beaches between 10-11am which is a great option if you don't have a car. The taxi rides to most of the area's restaurants and beaches range around $10-14 and the taxi service to the hotel is very fast. Now one amazing amenity in this hotel are the FANTASTIC cooked to order breakfasts. From all my travels this hotel has one of the best if not the best breakfasts!!! There is about 5 options available plus a daily special. I tried all and they all are 5 stars in my opinion. The staff is professional and attentive. I will definitely stay here again during my next visit to Aruba and I will recommend this hotel to all I tell about Aruba.

This boutique hotel was exactly what we wanted. If, like us, you want to avoid the typical resort hotels then this place is perfect. It is quiet, friendly, and comfortable. Excellent breakfasts are available. Easy walk to restaurants. Gaston dropped us off at different beaches in the morning and we would take the bus back to Oranjestad which was easy and inexpensive. Gaston’s recommendations on tours, beaches, restaurants, and a scuba dive shop were all perfect. All the staff were great. Highly recommended.

It's in a residential neighborhood, but don't let this put you off. The character and special personal touches you will notice and enjoy at this place cannot be had at any of the characterless big hotels at the beach. Gaston is a warm and helpful host, while not being intrusive. You can borrow the beach chairs or snorkel equipment any time you want. The breakfast outside at your private table in the perfect weather every morning was an experience in itself. The quiet grounds, open breezeway which serves as the lobby, and private nooks with pairs of lounge chairs set in around expertly chosen tropical trees and plants in the garden all make this a lush oasis, right in a quite ordinary Caribbean residential neighborhood on an otherwise desert island. Maybe if all you are going to do is hang on the beach all day, you can spend the big bucks and stay in Palm or Eagle Beach, but this place was perfect for us and our more adventurous style . Would give ten "circles" if it was an option.
