Divi Village Golf and Beach Resort enjoys a prime location that guests often highlight, with its close beach access and variety of dining options. While travelers regularly commend the resort for its cleanliness and spacious rooms, some have expressed concerns regarding value, pointing out the high costs and unexpected charges for services that didn't meet their expectations. The service receives mixed reviews, with instances of both friendliness and inefficiency reported.

Detailed Reviews
I’ve been coming to this resort since the 90’s and have always loved it. Rooms stay up to date the weather is great the beach isn’t overly packed like the high rise side of the island. The best time of the day of course is happy hour at the back pool where the best bar tender “Robert Statie” is always on point serving drinks and smiles. He remembers us and what drinks we order year after year. Great sun set views as happy hour comes to an end.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Divi Golf, and our 5th stay at a Divi resort.
Staff was in general helpful - everyone wore masks, even the workers not in contact with guests, for example the guys trimming the bushes, etc.
Some of the details for experiencing the resort reopening seemed uneven. There was no information given as to which restaurants at any of the Divi resorts were closed or had reduced hours, or that the entire Tamarijn is closed. Staff at Infinity Bar seemed intent on closing as fast as possible once 5:30 rolled around. Enrique was the best bartender there, the rest were mediocre. Windows on Aruba was closed.
Even though Divi was giving $52 pp All-Inclusive to paying guests, RCI guests were still expected to pay $140. We elected not to, and considering the lack of restaurants and other services usually available with the AI, I think even the $52 pp is not worth the cost.
Pool area cleaning was very limited at Infinity. Small tables between chairs were not cleaned at all as far as we could tell, and unlike the beach at Phoenix when we visited, the recliners were not cleaned before or between gusts' use. The pool deck area also collected dirt over days and appeared not to be getting washed or even rinsed.
The resort was probably at 10% occupancy, at best. Most mornings the whole pool area was deserted until 10:00, as was the beach.

Located right across from Divi Beach, this is the perfect place to stay in Aruba. The units are very modern and a 1 bedroom can accommodate 4 guests and includes 2 separate bathrooms. Super food grocery store is nearby, so we cooked many of our meals in the unit. Housekeeping comes by everyday to give you clean towels and to make sure you have everything you need.
Divi Beach is beautiful and clean. There is someone there to set up beach chairs for the Divi guests (you receive an armband to wear during your stay). There is a shuttle that will transport you all around the resort, if you don't want to walk.
Our upstairs unit had a rooftop jacuzzi which was an added bonus.
Highly recommend this resort.

Lets start with check-in... You're greeted by Erwin at the lobby, the most pleasant person I've met there. Friendly and helpful, smiling laughing and got us in a great mood. Then we joined the line of 2 people waiting to check in, it was the slowest process ever. It took 45 minutes just to check in. The clerk was so slow with no sense of urgency and no one appeared to be capable of helping. While my girlfriend was waiting on line, I decided to go and follow up with the concierge desk about an order I've been trying to put through 3 days now and I see why I could not get in touch with anyone because while Im talking to him he looks at a ringing phone and said "I'm done answering phones for the day". At any rate, he confirmed that the "Romantic package was set up and that we are good to go. He stated that the Champagne Chocolates and Fruit platter was in the room along with the balloons and banner whiting her a happy birthday. We got to the room and yes everything he says was correct. There was a box of 99 cents chocolate, 3 balloons, hand written birthday tags that were spelled wrong and as for the fruit platter, it was 2 mangos, bananas, apples and a pineapple in a basket. So yes it was disappointing to know I spend over $100 on something that looks like it cost $19.99. The room however was nice, the view of the golf course as well as the ponds were also nice. The property itself is a nice property as well as the sister properties that you are allowed to use as well. The problem at hand is the customer service. In a place where you provide hospitality and hospitality drives your business I didn't understand how so many employees lacked simple friendliness and willingness to listen and help. The first answer out of their mouths were NO or I DON'T KNOW. When you call the front desk late in the evening you would hear this woman on the other end who sounds annoyed and upset that you were bothering her. You also cannot make reservations for the restaurants the day you land nor can you make it pass 48hrs in advance. Why ??? I have no idea. The seabreeze bar and grill had the worst bar and the worst tasting food. We liked Mulligens as well as some of the other restaurants at the sister hotels as well. One Happy Island but just not in this resort. When you walk pass an employee you would expect to be greeted but not here. I never felt so awkward at a resort in my life. I felt as if I did not belong and I was walking on eggshells. At the bar in Aruba all inclusive (sister hotel) My girlfriend asked to have her personal drinking cup rinsed out and the gentleman refused to do so and stated that he is not allowed. Then with the same swoop he took a plastic cup from another person rinsed it out and made him another drink. So we asked... "Is it that you can't do it or is it that you won't do it ?"

We had booked 3-1 bedroom suites all inclusive for our family of 7 adults and 6 year old, 4 yo, 1 yo and a 9 month.
I booked directly through the Divi. When we arrived to check in, our very rude receptionist started the check in process, hardly spoke to us, started to assigned our rooms and then told us we hadn’t paid for AI. I showed her our receipts showing full payment. She didn’t care, we asked to speak to a manager and she provided a 18 yo kid that didn’t know what to do. So finally after 2 hours of her trying to explain, we paid an additional $4,200, what were we to do, we had 4 very tired children, thirsty, hungry. We asked if they could get them a snack or water. She kept saying they first needed their bracelets. We had been traveling since 1 am and now it was 5:30 pm. We were promised a phone call the next day which we never received. So we tried talking to the desk again, nothing. The next day we talked to the General Manager, amazing guy, surprised we weren’t able to talk to someone earlier, but still to this day we have not been refunded on the extra $4,200.00 we had to pay to get our room. We should have cancelled our AI for everyone, but I’m sure they would not have been fair on that either. Avoid this resort unless you can afford to throw away money. This was a true hardship on what was to be a fun family vacation.
My 2nd big complaint. Divi Golf and Beach, if you are an all-inclusive guest you are treated like you are invisible, if you have a wrist band you will wait forever for a drink, Mulligans was the worst, food, drink, even water. When you go to the Tamarijn or other Divi Resorts that are not optional AI, you are treated amazing. This was our 2nd trip to Aruba and it will be our last trip to the Divi Village Golf and Beach Resort.

Stayed for 8 days this month. Lots of elderly guests. I traveled with 4 children The beach was a disappointment. You had to cross a very busy street to get to the beach. The shore of the beach was non existent. The lounge chairs were on the sand and you had to walk and drop about 3 feet to get to the water. The hotel room I had was two levels with a steep staircase (dangerous with children) and they couldn’t accommodate two queen beds in the two upstair bedrooms. Each room came with a full bathroom and a king bed. The bed was comfortable. The downstairs had a full living room, dining area and kitchen and a 1/2 bath. The first morning I made breakfast and the stove knobs had a little layer of grime. It was sticky. The corners had dust. Everyone was very friendly. We requested no housekeeping during our stay just pick up of trash and fresh towels. Every afternoon while the children napped, I would be get a call from housekeeping and could hear someone attempting to open the front door. I would put the security latch on and they would really try a few times to enter the room open and closing the door. EVERY DAY even after I asked not to have them enter to clean. Every purchase we made was charged in US currency. Prices in Aruba were outrageous! We ate at the Seabreeze a couple of times for breakfast and dinner. Food was meh and servings were small high prices. Mulligans was better for dinner, but pricey. IF I ever go back to Aruba, I will find a better hotel.

I prefer Divi Dutch resort. It’s a short walk to the Divi Tamarin hotel where the nightlife is spectacular. Also for $35 you can eat at the buffet and drink alcoholic beverages including cappuccino with Baileys. The Divi shuttles take you to 11 restaurants, casino, golf course and the other Divi hotel Divi Aruba where the same thing applies. We rent at the DiviDutch the 1st week and we own at Divi Phoenix the 2nd week.

The service received at the infinity pool bar could use an upgrade. Get rid of Marvin who is only worried about his phone or talking with the girls.
When Robert is there he will serve 6 customers to Marvins 1. It’s almost to the point that if Marvin is there I will look for another bartender or wait until someone else shows up or becomes free. I cannot give Robert enough praise for his dedication to his job and his ability to handle any situation that may arise.

My family of 5 and I did not have a good experience here. Our bad experience began when we checked-in and was offered no support from the staff. We ended up lugging our 5 suitcases and 3 bags across the resort until, Agnus, a housekeeping/grounds staff member saw us in front of our suite building looking up at the 3 flights of stairs we had remaining to get to our suite. Our 2yo dropped a glass cup, we called the front desk for a broom 3 times and 2hrs later someone came with a broom. Service at the main outside restaurant was pricey and not good service - also the breakfast buffet was just ok, not as many options as I thought it would be for the price. We were never given any information on things like the Tuesday Welcome Happy Hour with free drink and other entertainment things to do. We found out about the infinity pool on the other side of the resort after talking to others. We just felt like things were not communicated and this affected our planning for fun on the resort with our family.
Some positives...close to the beach...

This was our first trip to the Island and staying with Divi. We were thoroughly impressed with Aruba, the people and Divi. All the staff at the Resort were highly professional, always willing to assist and of course happy. Our accommodations were outstanding. We have taken a number of trips with RCI/Interval and this was definitely one of our best vacations. I would highly recommend this Resort to anyone. I played a number of rounds of golf. The ladies at the Pro Shop were extremely nice and the gentlemen that assisted with getting our clubs and cart were also very friendly. We ate several times on the Resort and the food at Mulligans was tasty and reasonable priced. There is so much to see on Aruba and look forward to returning.
