Nestled in a prime location, the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino is a stone's throw from stunning beaches and vibrant nightlife. While it garners high praise for its immaculate grounds and diverse amenities, some guests feel the sting of high prices and additional charges.
Amidst the compliments for cleanliness and service, there are mentions of noise disturbances and inconsistent service that mar the experience for some. The hotel's atmosphere and rooms receive mixed reviews, reflecting a contrast of comfort and areas in need of improvement.

The best hotel with outstanding service and accommodations. The staff was fabulous and the pool and beach superior. The restaurants and food were excellent and I plan to come back in 2025. Aruba is a wonderful place with great weather and friendly vibes all around.

Second visit for our family to Aruba and to the Hyatt Regency. The hotel service, accommodations and amenities were enough to bring us back for another stay and will likely bring us back again for years to come. Rooms are clean and well maintained and were serviced daily, as we requested, including turndown service each evening. The pool and beach are exceptional; pool/beach staff are friendly and helpful and genuinely interested in making your time at the resort a positive, relaxing experience. A not-so-relaxing feature, though, of the pool/beach set-up includes daily booking of chairs and umbrellas at either location. The hotel has an automated reservation process that effectively takes ~2 minutes before all available spaces are taken. Miss your opportunity there and it’s down to the Beach Hut at 7am the next morning if you hope to get space that day (the line starts to form before 6:30am). This process is one element that strays from the overall relaxing ambiance of Hyatt’s Aruban resort. Finally, the food at breakfast (our family eats lunch and dinner outside of the hotel property) is very mediocre. The omelet station was our saving grace and consistently delivered during our most recent stay, otherwise we would have opted for all three daily meals offsite. All in all, we enjoyed our vacation and appreciate all the Hyatt has to offer. We are already looking forward to a third visit, hopefully sooner than later!

Just returned from our annual February trip to Aruba for the past 13 years. We have been staying at the Hyatt for the past 4 years since the Westin no longer exists. The Hyatt is truly a beautiful resort and it does fell like our home away from home, but I cannot say this it was worth the exorbitant nightly rate that we paid this year (30% more than we paid last year for the same room and week). The adult pool looks beautiful, and hopefully the main pool area will get a refresh in the near future. The location on the strip is perfect, staff in the pool/beach/breakfast area are always great. Not sure what the $93/day resort charge is for. When I asked the manager, I was told it was one of the government taxes but I don't think that is correct after doing some research. Overall, did not feel like a very valued returning customer. Already booked our week for next February 2021 and our rate is 35% cheaper - go figure !

From arrival to departure, we were shown the greatest care and hospitality at the Hyatt Regency Aruba. My boyfriend and I chose to stay at Hyatt because it appeared to be a beautiful hotel with even more beautiful scenery and all of our expectations were exceeded. We were welcomed warmly by the bell attendants outside and then again by front desk staff, along with temperature checks and hand sanitizer, very important as we visited during the pandemic, as well as champagne and fruit! Our room on a high floor was fantastic, super clean, very updated, and had a great view of the hotel grounds as well as the ocean. The cleanliness was impeccable. We were especially grateful for the wonderful staff we encountered throughout the resort and activities provided during the week we stayed there.
The hotel offered a complimentary mixology class, yoga classes three days a week, and I had a massage at the Zoia Spa, which was phenomenal. We also spent a full two days at the adults-only Trankilo pool, simply fabulous and the perfect quiet retreat! The food was also great, we had breakfast at Ruinas del Mar, lunch at Palms, and went to Shoco Market every day for our empanadas!
The sunset on Palm Beach is wonderful and the hotel is located right along a strip of great shops and restaurants. More beaches, downtown Aruba, and Hooiberg are all easily accessible by bus or taxi from the hotel. During a pandemic or not, if you have any hesitation about staying at the Hyatt Regency, don’t! We were so impressed by the beauty of the hotel and warm service by its staff, that we only want to stay here when we return to Aruba!

We were here for a family vacation. As others have noted, World of Hyatt elites do not receive much extra benefits - we were put in a room with a small window (one of only about a dozen on the property) and received only 2 free drink coupons as status recognition. The adult pool desperately needs to be opened as right now there is a competition between children and adults at the main pool. Once adult pool is opened, the main pool clearly needs a refresh. Overall the staff was friendly but service is not A++++. Food at restaurants is good but expensive. It's frustrating that the menu and food portions are not consistent between the Palms restaurant and when you order poolside. For kids, the pool also had much fewer options so we often had to leave our seats to sit at the Palms restaurant (my understanding is same kitchen services both pool and Palms restaurant so this is unacceptable). Overall Aruba is an amazing island and the resort is excellent. We will probably return but would love to see some improvements as noted above before doing so.

My wife and I stayed here for our much Covid-delayed honeymoon in June, and we absolutely loved it. It's one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at, and while fairly pricey for the island, it's worth it. The location is perfect as it's right in the middle of the tourist restaurant/bar area, so you're equal walking distance to any restaurant you would want to go, and I highly recommend not doing one of the all-inclusive hotels as there are so many restaurants along that tourist area which are all really good and within very easy walking distance. I'm also really glad we went with the Palm Beach area instead of Eagle Beach as there are far more interesting places to eat and drink along Palm Beach.
We stayed in the "King Bed with Oceanfront View Deluxe with Full Balcony" on the 2nd floor which was fantastic. I was actually worried about the 2nd floor, but when looking out the windows of our room it's the most picturesque view of palm trees and ocean. It honestly felt like it was too good to be real and it's very quiet at night. The gorgeous beach is steps away (it was literally 30 seconds from our room to the beach), it was easy to get a chair on the beach, and the staff was really nice. The room itself was huge, very clean, very nice, had a large shower, and the balcony had two chairs and a table. It is important to know that most of the rooms have standing room only balconies, so if balcony space is important to you, only book the rooms that say "full balcony". Also there's the "King Bed Oceanfront View with Full Balcony" which from what I assume is close to the same thing as the "Deluxe" version, but the Deluxe version rooms stick out a bit more, which gives you a more 180 degree view. If the price difference is small, the "Deluxe" would be worth it, but I wouldn't pay a whole lot more for the "Deluxe". You can see the difference from the photos I've attached.
The hotel grounds were immaculate, extremely pretty, and any kids (or kids at heart like me) will love the fantastic water slide. The swim up bar was great and the adult-only infinity pool was really relaxing. Walking around the other resorts nearby, the Hyatt was definitely a high level above. We used a Prive booking (Google it) to get free breakfast which was really great every morning. They treated us well for our honeymoon, and we also really enjoyed Aruba. The island itself is a desert climate so the interior is not that pretty or "tropical", but the beaches and ocean are spectacular, there's a lot of jaw dropping gorgeous beaches, the weather is perfect, and the snorkeling was great. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

We returned to Hyatt - of course, last time we were here was totally normal time. This time, it’s a “different” operation to some extent, but we felt Hyatt was our trusted hotel chain even under this unprecedented situation.
Hyatt welcomed guests as warmly as they usually do but kindly requested all the guests to wear masks and social distancing in the public area (unfortunately, not everyone followed though).
In the facility, every certain distance, there’re hand sanitizers. On the beach, for renting beach chairs, the staff set up and cleaned before use.
Iguanas and parrots were as friendly as usual. I thought there were 2 swans but it’s only one this time- I couldn’t find multiple turtles but one in the pond..: hope to see more next time. ;-)
Two regretful elements that we noticed this time:
For the brunch at the ruin de mar, we used to love so much because of various kind of delicious food. We understand under the special arrangement, it’s hard to prepare for traditional Hyatt’s brunch but we wonder if they could serve a bit more kinds and more volume (esp. busy season with many guests). While we were eating, we wanted chocolate muffins for dessert, which were gone that didn’t replace even in the middle of operating hours. The course was significantly less than before ... but the price was also lowered which was nice.
Another thing was even though they sold post cards at a store, the hotel didn’t sell stamps or assist sending post cards, which was disappointing. I experienced at a different Hyatt where they took care of cards. I hope handling stamps would be listed for their future improvement.
The elevator was chaotic as the number of passengers were limited, we waited for quite a while to use when checking in and out. In normal days, we used staircase, which was no waiting required plus good exercise!
For cleaning the room during the stay, we didn’t use anyone to come in and clean inside but could easily get towels and garbage bags respectively. All the staff was friendly cooperative, and we felt Hyatt did such a good job to maintain their brand quality and services successfully under this challenging situation.
Keep up the greatest work!

Aruba is a beautiful Island and family friendly. Thus, I decided to take my 2 year old and 5 month old away from the February cold of the North East for my first visit to Aruba! I studied medicine in the Caribbean and have been to most of the islands and hotels from 5 stars and below. I have seen it all. Knowing I am traveling with an infant and toddler, I emailed the hotel almost a month prior requesting an early check in and the “best room they can provide for our family” as I was ready to pay for the upgrade. We’ll, that did not happen. At check in after a long flight and seeing my kids with me, my room wasn’t ready. She didn’t even care! Paying 700/a night you would also expect a room where you can fit a stroller. A room where it’s going to be service and diapers we’ll be taken away and not piled on! They never serviced our room until I told them three times. On top of that, she gave us a room where they are drilling into our room! How do you do that knowing there’s construction there? Literally drilling into our room! Let me pose the question to them! How would you feel if your toddlers nap time you here a jack hammer on vacation you spent a significant amount time and money? They did not care! They were told about it to Ashley Z, but nothing was ever communicated! They told me I can upgrade to a family room but would have check out midway our stay! How do you do that with a 5 month old and 2 year old? You guys failed on so many levels that it angers me and I will never come to Aruba! Diapers piling in our garbage inside the room! How do you not care? To say the least, I spent a fortune getting married at Southern California Hyatt! They simply do not care! I have the video of the drilling mid day!

My friends and I had the tribulation of staying at your hotel the Hyatt Regency.
During our stay, we encountered a number of unsatisfactory service levels that I think you should know of.
It was an implied term of our contract that the accommodation provided would be of a standard of cleanliness and quality reasonably to be expected from this type and price of hotel. Upon exiting the elevator to the 7th floor was a musty scent of perhaps mold of some other kind of earthy scent that was unsanitary and unhealthy to breathe in and walk through constantly.
In addition we also are aware of the unprecedented times of the Corona Virus however according to the stipulations and signs that are placed around your hotel we were under the impression that the Casino would be open til 11pm on Thursday and Friday. Being that there are not many other accommodations available to us, we were told at 10:35pm that the casino is now closing and we were entitled to 3 more “spins” at the roulette table. Granted each spin takes less than a minute and we were spending a significant amount of money, we felt entitled to the entire time period that we were supposed to be given.
Furthermore, the television in room 733 did not have several channels they were “offered” on the channel guide. We had called the front desk and they sent up their technician that evening (Thursday) and they were unable to determine what maybe the cause for such an inconvenience. In addition on Saturday at 11:30am we lost complete signal in all the rooms and no channels worked.
I hope you agree with me that this type of service is completely unacceptable at so many levels. It is not the kind of treatment I would have expected from a five star hotel of your state and caliber. I am very disappointed from this experience.
I would like to hear your thoughts and the steps that you are willing to take to prevent such incidents in the future and look forward to putting this experience past us and coming back to your Hotel again.

I recently stayed here and during the COVID pandemic. I felt safe at all times as the hotel provided sanitizing stations throughout. They also left a package in our room with Hand Sanitizer, disinfecting wipes and additional masks. I would expect in a “normal” environment there would be more scheduled daily activities to do, we still had an amazing & relaxing time. The nearby restaurants also adhered to CDC regulations and at no time did we feel “unsafe”. The hotel is beautiful and the restaurants and casino are as well.

I would say yes. The weather in Aruba is awesome and constant year round. we went in mid-September to avoid school time, but early December should be great too.
to the right when facing the beach... away from where the tour boats and jetskis are.. Less waves and gas smell.
