Firstly, this location is perfect. You are right in the middle of all the great restaurants and nightlife. The beach is across the street and you can use the facilities at the beachfront Hyatt. The people are warm and friendly, Abdool at the front reception...More
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel after reading some reviews. It has a great location, right in the middle of the restaurants/shops. It is not right on the beach but it's literally right across the street. The room was clean when we got there,...More
The hotel room we got was not clean (pubic hair on toilet and in bed). The bed sheets were worn out with age. Windows in these hotels do not open which made the experience even worse. We had to keep the a/c on full blast...More
For an old hotel and the rates you get in Aruba this place is good.
Each room has a dehumidifier, good A/C and nice TV. New beds and bed clothing are very comfortable.
Their restaurant (Charlie Tomato's Pizza) is really freaking good!
Not beach front...More
If I knew the Hotel would be so simple as it was, I would have saved a bit more money and changed my stay to any other Resort (some of the REAL resorts there, and not this fake one). Holiday Inn, Radisson, Riu, Marriot... Even...More

First off, this resort is not a resort or even a spa, it is a hotel! The bar is open on different nights. It is really loud dance music and sometimes is very crowded and sometimes it is just the regulars. Sopranos is a good live music bar and a landmark, so that is a must see. There is a Senior Frogs right around the corner, as well as another club like bar across the street. All in all, this is a great area to hang out in. Also, there are casinos in all of the hotels around that area and as long as you are playing the penny slots you can drink for free so that's a good way to start the night off. The local hot spot is called Salt and Pepper. It is just a bar but has the history and a great staff. If you bring a salt or pepper shaker with you from wherever you are from they will display it with the rest of the tourists that have brought them. The frozen Mojitos are awesome! Lastly, there is a bar that is out on the end of a pier over near the RIU resort that has live music at night and it was really fun! Aruba is VERY expensive so try and eat dinners with the early bird specials. They offer them everywhere. They have happy hour for drinks as well from 5-7 I believe. Enjoy your trip!!!! Its gorgeous!!!!

If you are a guest at the Brickell hotel there are few lounges free but in the same area you can find Marcel Sports (Saundra is the owner) where you can rent umbrella and lounges and be comfortable. At Eagle beach you can also rent but as it is a public beach without hotels on the beach I´m not sure how is the serevice there.
