We had a great stay at Ramiro's - at the start and end of our three week trip in Cuba. He was the most helpful host we had in all our time there, giving advice on how to get around the city like a local, the cheapest transport to take and what routes to use. The house is a cost...

I stayed four nights in total at Ramiro's and it was a total pleasure! Ramiro was the best host on my Cuban round trip (where I stayed in about ten different casas). His English is perfect and he's always friendly helping you with any questions and concerns. He rents two rooms with shared bathroom, all is very clean. You can...

Had a great time staying with Ramiro and his family. They were incredibly hospitable and helpful the entire time. We spent nights drinking rum and smoking cigars on his amazing rooftop overlooking Havana. Ramiro was always happy to drive us wherever we wanted and kindly showed us the best places to eat and drink in town. Ramiro also sorted out...

My partner and I stayed at Ramiros for 5 nights in July. We didn't really know what to expect in our trip to Cuba but from the get go Ramiro treated us like family and looked after us very well. We particularly enjoyed the food he cooked us and in fact it was the best food we found in Cuba!...

Ramiro's house is one of the best places you can chose to sleep in la Habana. He helped us to plan our route around the island and showed us a beach close to the city and the best places to dance around the city. We couldn't have a more warming welcome! I'm definetly sending my friends from Barcelona there so...

We were recommended Ramiros case from 2 friends of mine, they were not wrong. The room has everything you need, a comfortable bed and a large wardrobe with adjacent bathroom. But the real positive of this is Ramiro, he is very kind and helpful in organising casas in different cities, travel to the different cities and taking us on a...

A Totally Different Outlook Since Meeting Ramiro… My Friend and I just returned from Cuba. We booked a short trip to make some contacts for long term vacations. We are both retired and my friend was recovering from surgery and was walking with a cane. We booked a stay in Varadero then made the connection to Ramiro. On such short...

My father and I stayed at Ramiro’s house for 11 nights at the end of November 2015. It was the most rewarding travelling experience we have had. Ramiro is a very charming and knowledgeable person; he and his son made us feel “at home”. Ramiro’s house is cozy and comfortable, and his cooking is the best, the typical Cuban cuisine....

“Most people like to stay in the centre. Be advised that most Habana Vieja casas have toilet and noise issues since Cubans wake up really early, so downtown might not be a place for you if you like to sleep. Ramiros house is in a nice, calm and peaceful neighbourhood.”
