It's located in a good spot in the city, but it is really needing some works done. The bathroom of room 7 smells, the floor is cracked, the windows cover no sound at all. All in all it's not the worst place to stay - the patio is very nice and the breakfast was ok. One thing that I found...

We booked the hotel over the internet - once we arrived we waited 20 Minutes at the front desk. When the receptionist finally came he announced that there weren't any rooms available and we were told to go somewhere else "a better hotel" "more stars than here" .... they sent us to the most ridiculous hotel and we paid a...

We stayed at the Beltran De Santa Cruz for 2 nights. We couldn't have chosen a better location; in the heart of the old town. The hotel was a fantastic old building. The rooms are a bit dark but spotlessly clean. Breakfast in the courtyard was good but you have to watch out for the bird poop! I would stay...

Havana is such a vibrant city day and night that to gain the most of it you should stay in the old town. This hotel is perfectly situated just 30 yards from the Vieja Plaza. Rooms and service are simple but more than adequate and it is most enjoyable to plan the day over breakfast in the open central area.

So its not a finely polished gem of a place, but as Cuban accommodations go, it doesn't get much better. I really like this little place, not just for its superb location, but for the historic treasure that it is, kept just enough so that it doesn't fall apart, and all its charm intact. Once you travel through Havana and...

This hotel is in a great location, just down from Vieja Square. The building is an architectural gem! My room was on the ground floor and opened onto a central courtyard. The breakfast was served on the courtyard. Breakfast was adequate but service was a bit slow. The room was lovely with ornate, period furniture and good on suite facilities,...

For our last night in Cuba we decided to treat ourselves and stay in a boutique hotel. We paid a lot of money (almost $400 NZD) for a night here, but unfortunately the price didn't reflect the quality. The guy on the front desk gave the impression he wasn't expecting us when we checked in, running off to the back...

Our first day in Cuba, what a great place to start the holiday. Beautiful building, you feel yourself back in the fifties. Near the beautiful square and real Cuban style. The rooms are large and well conditioned. The personnel is really nice and helpful. You have a good surprising breakfast in the courtyard and you feel serviced as a guest....

My wife and I stayed in this hotel with our two sons who had their own room. The toilet in their en suite room didn't have a toilet seat, so they ended up having to use the toilet in our room. Our room had damp mould on the ceiling and on the walls. The hotel was in a general state...

We booked this hotel for 10 nights as the American flag was raised the day we booked and we were told prices were shooting up! We stayed on the 3rd floor and whilst a bit of a climb our calves are in great shape. Loved the proximity to Plaza Vieja and we liked the background noise from the square and...
